Ok this one kinda sucks I got tired or something tonight :) I think its a combination of the art being too busy for a mini and an odd background color for the art on top, the logo blends in. Supergoose did scan me the Japanese manual and I wanted to make one using that but I've misplaced that file I think :/ If you still have that Falk would you mind sending it again, sent you a PM. Sorry. Also I'm still working on resizing the top and bottom to make it fit the right dimensions for a mini without making it look 'squished' so its way tall right now.

I think its pretty much done for my part, suggestions are welcome.

Let me know what you all think, I know the leftover from the logo and the words are at the top, I need to get rid of them, I don't know how to.

Have you thought about visiting the KOF website and snatching the characters from there. I would prolly use the main character alone or find a way to arrange the three so it won't look cluttered.
You're going in a good direction.

Thanks for the tips, I'm still really learning Photoshop, so this was actually all put together solely from the MVS art scan that OmegaSaber got me.

It wa pretty easy for me to adapt to it and I am sure you will have no probs.I have yet to delve into the alpha channels feature because the particular program I am using does not offer it.
I am pretty burned for the moment as I have discovered some things to improve on the work that i've done thus far and I am contemplating on updating every last one of them in the future..prolly will...just burned out abit thinking about it but right after I finish typing this out I'll most likely finish up Street Hoop :D
In regards to that KOF 2K3,it's something about the background..It takes away from the characters...You may want to fade it abit...
FUN STUFF indeed.

I know what you mean about getting marginally better and wanting to go fix everything. I'm staring at my MS4 mini and think I could do better. But for now I'll wait a bit, work on some new mini's and hopefully improve more. Know of any reliable sites with tutorials? Mostly when I get stuck trying to do something I get frustrated then I google search and get frustrated when different sites tell me different things.

HANDS ON is the best way to learn. Experiment with all the features(take your time). If you are experimenting with something you don't quite understand, refer to the internet and grab a book as well. By experimenting with different features,it will help you better undertsnad what you're reading on internet websites and in publications.
I puirchased the Photoshop Bible and at 1st everything I was reading was pretty confusing until I just dived into the program on my own. Uhh,I really can't recommend a publication at this time and you've prolly been to all the websites I've came across..
This site was prolly the most helpful and accurate:

Grab the internet pic of this game, then cut around theinstruction area in this artwork you are showing us now along with the NEO GEO SNK/PLAYMORE logo to the left, the text in the middle and the logo to the right. Place the logo on the left in the same position over the internet pic, place the insruction area in the same area on the internet pic, even if you have to shrink it down abit, then take the text in the middle along with the logo to the right and place those in the same position but at the bottom of the instruction area.

Ok thanks I'll look to do that, I did want all that jumbo at the top to be at the bottom. Although, which internet pic are you referring too?

The Samurai Shodown V website.
See if you can do anything with that.

Bump for a crappy Matrimelee design, this one will be reworked for sure :p but maybe if some of you like this art over the home cart art, I can work on removing the crazy background.

SS5 also has been shortened, is now the right dimensions, which cut out the words on the top.

Where can I get ahold of a scan of this SamSho 5 instruction sheet & template?? I had something laid out I was going to do for the rear cover of the insert I was worling on and scrapped it but it would be appropriate for a marquee design indeed.
