Really odd that they skipped Xbox on this release. I guess it's just as well because without crossplay the online would be dead in a couple months anyway.

Some places reported they removed the pictures in the JP Punisher ending, which seems a bit silly to me.

There's been reports the xbox in general is just falling way behind. It sounds like it's becoming the "saturn" of this generation. Which is a shame because I prefer it over the PS5.

While I understand the Xbox isn't even a blip on the radar to Japanese publishers, it doesn't make a lot of sense to can this then turn around and announce an Xbox release of that Phoenix Wright collection.

It might be related to genres and which ones (and what kinds related to the genre) are seeing more action on which platform. It could also be a perception about the kind of gamer relative to the console. Or it could even be technology and infrastructure related to the netcode. I'm sure there are viable reasons for doing this from Capcom's position. The coding architecture Microsoft provides might not make for a good launch on Xbox.

Might even just be a lazy port that Capcom doesn't want to put a whole lot of work into. Who knows?

Thanks for the heads up. I just put my preorder in. I'll gladly give this type of collection the metrics.

From my understanding there will not be a Microsoft release, because Microsoft dropped support for MT Framework.

Hyped to pick up this collection and we’re big fans of MSH over here. Lil man has been celebrating/looking forward to having it on his switch (with playable bosses) by beating it on the cab repeatedly. I didn’t realize he’d be so excited to have the game portable on his system lol

Edit
3rd time he’s completed it today :lolz: I love to see it:

That’s what’s up, @BlackaneseNiNjA. My kids love MSH and Xmen COTA. I dragged a cab to the neighborhood pool last summer when the foosball table bit the dust.

These CPS2 joints were in heavy rotation.

As popular as Marvel movies have been in the last 5 years, even non-gamer kids were getting some rounds in.

It will be a triple dip on some of these games at this point, but I’m here for it!

I only found out what Norimaro was a few months ago.

And, honest to god, played Marvel VS Street Fighter for the first time in forever two days ago. Chose the Japanese version.

What the hell was Capcom thinking.

Good on Marvel not letting that in the American version, but also good on Capcom for being retardedly ballsy enough to make a character like that and throw it in the game.

Capcom was thinking 'Wouldn't it be funny to put Noritake Kinashi in a vs. fighting game?'

I mean...does it really go any deeper than that?

I respect this era of Capcom. They did shit and didn't worry about it. It was a boom period for them creatively. I'd rather they took risks like this over the safe shit they do these days, such as yet another Street Fighter or Resident Evil.

The whole media industry, hell even society has gone this way. Everyone playing it safe, tall poppy syndrome yay 😒

Bring back the risk taking.

They have to satisfy investors by providing infinite year-over-year growth and "risk taking" will inevitably end up with you failing occasionally and losing money. Hence, endless milking of franchises with pre-established fanbases and being as inoffensive and bland as possible to appeal to the maximum number of potential users.

You can't expect anything daring or interesting to come from a publicly-traded company.

I keep thinking about buying it knowing it will be expensive later. (I suspect a smallish run).
I'm just not super excited about it.
I'm probably going to pre order the CvS collection tho.

Right that's why i bought the collection soon as it hit retail for a physical.Thinking i might double dip and buy the PS4 version as well since there is no cross play.

Arguably both this and the CvS collection are very much overdue, hell how can anyone really be excited about it, it's just a nice to have.
