Hi. I just recently bought a Super Neo 29 Candy Cabinet. Everything is perfect except for the marquee light. Whenever the machine is on, the light ethier flickers on and off sporadically, or doesn't turn on at all. I've checked and tightened everything so I'm not sure what it might be. It uses a medium sized flourecent tube (NEC FL10D)and a very small bulb-like peice(FG-7E) Any help is greatly appreciated!

I have a standard U.S. dedicated 2-slot Neo cab. I'm sure yours is similar to mine, in that you have the fluorescent bulb (mine is an 18"), a condensor (small silver plug-in cylindrical part), and a ballast (small square heavy part). I'm betting that you may only need a new condensor, they're very cheap. At worst, you'll need a new ballast, they cost a little more but still not much.

If I were you I'd write down the exact part numbers for those three pieces (I assume you DID replace the bulb first), and buy backup parts for all of them to keep onhand. Good luck . . . <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">

Well there is a guy who sells arcade parts at VERY fair prices (Bob Roberts). He operates only by email, no phone. You should find out the exact part numbers of your condenser and ballast, and provide those in the email. Here is his website:
http://www.therealbobroberts.com

Be sure to read his ordering FAQ before sending him an email, might help speed things up.

I just placed a very large order with him for arcade parts, should be arriving any day now. He can also get sticks, buttons, power supplies, bulbs, almost anything arcade part related you can imagine. Good luck.

Your Super Neo 29 should have a 12" fluorescent bulb. The Neo 29 manual specifically states to use a 10 watt bulb to prevent heating/fire problems.

Hey Nimbus, do you have a copy of that manual or know where I can find one? (Mine didn't come with a manual) Thanks!
