well I have minor complaint about the game,
I bought it yesterday and finished it today(granted, only 62 stars), but it took me maybe 10-12 hours to blaze through the main story,
I've been waiting for this game basically since Super Mario Sunshine, which is about 5 years - finishing it within a day is kind of disappointing but then again what 10 hours that been!
I intend to collect all 120 stars which shouldn't take more than another 10 hours(I hope it will).
hands down the best platformer of this generation, gameplay, design, soundtrack, graphics, ideas behind it are top notch.
truly fantastic experience.

Granted it is a tad easy. I have only put in maybe an hour or a little more and I have like 12 stars or something.

But the dif is supposed to pick up nicely.

To anybody who wants to bash this game and only come up with its a mario game that you wave a stick around. Yeah fun. Please dont do that, there has to be indivisual reasons for the hate that everybody can agree on. If you cant do that, then your clearly being a noobzor.

So your complaint is you have no life? That's not the game's fault. lol... besides, you've got half the stars to go.

I got this and Assassin's creed yesterday. All I can say is the Creed isn't going to get any more action for a while. This game is amazing.

spike spiegel you're already dead, so unless you're a diffirent spike spiegel - do not impersonate  ^_~

one day of my life is probably busier than week of yours :)

I just simply pointed out fact that I finished game in two five hour sittings(night sessions - main quest only) some people with such attitude on boards...

SPOILER !!!

and in case you're wondering there is no 120 stars,
there might be more than.

END OF SPOILER !!!

so my only complaint or rather observation was regarding main quest longevity.

Pretty much.

I always wonder why people want to play a game like that and then bitch that it didn't last them long enough.

By the way, you can beat Super Mario World in like 10 minutes, so be happy you even got 10 hours playing it like that.

Ive read that you dont get the real ending unless you get all 120, just something to consider. I still dont know what the point of the coins are, I mean why does it update? There has to be something to it.

With that said I now have 25 stars.

strongly suggesting you to read with comprehension skills,
I said game is relatively easy to get through, which is a MINOR COMPLAINT OR OBSERVATION.

I'm working, schooling full time yet I have a time to get few hours with highly anticipated game,
something you spike and lithy never understand as being casual gamers.

so would suggest to stop accusing others of "having no life" and getting worked up for nothing.

I didn't say I don't like it or anything like that,

I never do this, but you are annoying. Please shut up now.

You need to diversify your hobbies, or possibly seek out human social interaction.

An hour or two a day compared to 5-6 hours a day in addition to work and school (which you clearly are not doing enough of either to be left with 5-6 hours of gaming a day) does not make me a casual gamer.

The easy complaint is not unheard of, and is not really what we were criticizing. We were criticizing the part of your post where you said you 'bought it yesterday and finished it today', being a hardcore gamer has nothing to do with devoting absurb amounts of time a day to playing games.

wizkid what's your problem?
try to behave or I'll have to break you

@lithy
about social activities/interactions - you would be lucky if you got as many as I do so don't act like an authority here.
definitely too much insinuation involved here on boards.
I'm not playing games much during the week because other activities are taking over my time, but whenever Mario comes out, I will play it as long as I can because it's that good, it's sort of celebration for me because Mario games are coming out so infrequently.

Just bought this game from TRU for the $25 gift card. Used the gc on the spot for Assassin's Creed (ps3). Looked like they had a lot of copies of Galaxy. They didn't have any behind the counter so they went in the back and grabbed 8 more.

Played a little bit, so far so good.

this game is amazing.it´s the (mario) game that i have always dreamed of but never tought that someone might pulled it.it´s better than that! it reminds you off all the shitty games we´ve been playing in the last 10 years or since mario3 and mario64.at the same time makes you forget all about that too.it reminds you why you love games in the first place.
Thank you Nintendo

I'm going to express my only complaint and see if anyone can understand me.

On some of the very small planetoids, I have issues as I run to the 'apex' of the planet, the camera will not change position, so to continue on to the other side of the planet I need to change the direction of the analog stick (say I was holding up as you reach the apex you need to switch to down to continue in the same direction). It becomes a little disorienting and I end up running little circles right at the point the direction changes.

Maybe I'll get more used to it as I play more, just a small control observation right now.

I haven't bothered posting here, but every time I come here I want to... just to say that this game is freaking awesome. Really really has a nostalgic sort of a feel. Reminds me of the magic from the good old days. Great freaking game. Easily best on the system, and one of the best of the year. Wow.

Some parts are easy, but I must be bad at games because I found some parts pretty tough.

Game's awesome. All the different places you go to really are nice. There's a lot of variety in the levels.

...honestly this is not simply the prettyest game on Wii.but one of the most gourgeous games that i laided my eyes on.i love when games look like games and not like films. This game is the epitome of that.
And is definitely the wisest and rightest direction to go with a new mario game.
After conquering everything on land and sea only the space awaits.
what next Nintendo?

I think this game might be the crowning acheivement of what nintendo can do, miyamoto is getting old, and I dont think he is going to be around to produce a game with such magic. I mean anybody else who ever has touched a mario game failed pretty badly.

I fear that capturing the essence of mario is going to be gone after this game. But damn what a game it was.

i don´t want to imagine a videogame scene without Myamoto nor Nintendo.
i refuse.
