Here is my dreamcast to jamma adapter, now with rgb amp. I made it "upgradeable" I am going to add saturn, and xbox adapters to it. The PSX/PS2 hate this RGB amp and either the picture is too bright or too dark. So if I want to use them on a cab I need to try a different amp or buy a time kit and hack it. It has a volume adjustment for the audio amp and kick harness for the extra buttons though it is wired for 4/5 buttons on the jamma edge for Neo/AW cab use.

Do 500ohm pots on the RGB lines help at all?

Nice work.

BTW,I have something similar to this for sale, but mine is compatible with both DC and PS/PS2. The only catch is that it only works with a 3-button set-up (I had it made with shmups in mind).

Hit me with a PM if anyone is interested.

Did you have to modify the Dreamcast to output 15khz or did you hack up a vga box for that?

I used an RGB cable, which can be used with any dreamcast. The DC outputs 15khz RGB natively, there is no hack required for it, just a jpn scart or euro scart cable and the proper tv/monitor. Though in order to get nice and bright colors on an arcade monitor an RGB amp is needed.

Hmm...I wired up a scart connector to a fingerboard and I couldn't any video on my arcade monitor. I then cut pin 6 on the motherboard and then it started working. Not sure what the difference is between mine and yours. But now it doesn't work any more...I think the pin is making contact again. I might put in a switch to break the connection when I need to.

What did you use for the RGB amp?

I tried Ultimarc's on my electrohome G-10 but it didn't work.....

Never needed an Amp on my WG-27k

As for the sync.... My EH G-10 goes batshit if you either :
1. strip the sync the comp vid
2. Don't strip the comp sync off the conector.

Ironically, my neobitz freaks out if you use a stripper.

I used this rgb amp http://www.ultimarc.com/vidamp.html the vga terminal is th IN and the RGBS Ground labeled terminal is the OUT. I haven't played too much with a Neobitz, but the jrok component looks nice when running a DC through it, using a sync stripper of course. It will do progressive scan on the component out also if you use a dreamcast VGA cable to the jrok.

Have you tride the Jrok4.0 in progoressive scan with an ATW board?

someone told me that it was a bit blurry when in Progressives can mode. The RGB was taken off of the edge.

The lack of an RGB amp, is what is causing that. If you want I can add one in, just pay shipping and for the part, which is like $23, so all in all it would be about $40. Let me know, it won't help the PS2 (I can add a switch to disable the amp), but you will notice a big difference in the DC, Saturn and Xbox.
