The Gamebox interface is pretty cool actually....but I'm scared to death of those things. Heard way too many horror stories. Building a MAME machine now due to all the ads Excellentcom and Joey Tang keep sending out....drove me to it. I had to kill the temptation to buy one of these paperweights. I am curious about the card versions though, no HD's

Yup, a friend of mine got one and controls acted funky on the 2nd player after some time. He tried to add more roms to the HD and I think he finished making it unusable . On the end we built a mame PC using a J-pac and it was much better.

I've seen one of those units first hand. It was stuck in 30khz mode, then it gave a ram error on boot. Those stupid things have the ram sticks and wire harnesses glued into place... total CRAP.

If the rom-box interests you, take it from me... build a mame box! Screw those POS hong-kong pieces of shit.
