the movie is kinda Tarantino-esque, because it's more of a "let me get these old icons all in one movie that people might've already forgotten" cultish homage movie.

The landlady and landlord are 2 of the Seven Fortunes (a Peking Opera School class that includes Jackie Chan and Sammo Hung. Sammo is also one of the fight choreographers in the movie)

The landlady was also a former Bond Girl in the 70's and hasn't been in movies since getting married in the late 70's.

The Landlord has been Bruce Lee's stunt double (for the more acrobatic stunts) and played bad guys in Bruce's movies and other movies.

The old guy with the chains on his arm, is actually a master of that fighting style called Hung Gar, which is an actual Shaolin technique. he's a descendant of the family that created it.

The young muscular guy (one of the 3 that saved the slums) is supposedly an actual shaolin disciple.

The Beast is Bruce Leung who was a big martial arts star before and during the Bruce Lee era, but later got blacklisted and hasnt made a movie since the very early 80's. This is his first movie since then, and also the first one where he plays the bad guy.

retards ahoy

I guess that this thread shows the mentality of a lot of the morons who frequent this site.

A female gamer(snes, nes, master system and megadrive),who has only recently been introduced to the geo has decided to make a thread about a film she likes which she thought would be of interest to a lot of other members.

First off you get all the virgin retards who have never had,and probably never will have the opportunity to touch the toilet parts of a female(unless a cash compensation is involved) just leap in with both feet in the mouths and try to be funny and show how stupid and mysogonistic they are.

Idiots like you just know how to show yourselves up for the cretins you are.You are the same sad acts who spam up every thread with nothing of interest to say and are more interested in boosting their post counts.

Kudos to the real respondees.

I loved the part when the fat guy was throwing knives and they always hit the main character. We were laughing so hard at that. I also really liked the opening when he was picking people to fight and everyone looked too tough for him.

The fight scenes were really nice too!

This was a great movie I will watch it again when it comes to HBO :buttrock:

Just watched bits and parts of it on DVD last night.

The movie is just as entertaining as 6 months ago (yeehaw I got to see it in a Hong Kong movie theater). Fun stuff, if abit uneven. Still, it is one of the better movies out there for pure fun, silliness and kung fu action fight scenes.
