I like Korean food, but I have been to bad korean restaurants. I also had a korean girlfriend who ripped my heart to shreds and left me a broken man. So there are times I am not in the mood for Korean.
But I really like Japanese food - Sukiyaki, Tonkatsu, Soba (plain, like Hajime Saitou has it), sushi is also very good, but I am picky about where to get it. Never get it when over 100 miles from a coastline. Also, you have to order at the bar, otherwise you give the sushi time to reach equilibrium, in which the rice is no longer as hot, and the sushi no longer as cold, thereby muddling the contrast; it is the contrast of hot rice and cold fish that makes the sushi taste so good. It's an aesthetic thing.
Of course, many sushi restaurants are run by koreans. I don't know why. I am a purist, I only want sushi from Japanese people. If I go to a place with koreans, I order korean food. Both are good - but I'm still with my Japanese girlfriend, so there's always room for Japanese food
