KOF2K my thoughts.......

Ok i just borrowed my mates AES and KOF2K cart (thx Bwi!) and i thought i'd let u know what i thought!

Well to start off it aint that much of a step from 99 most chracters are exactly the same and have'nt changed one bit!!would it kill SNK to change some moves?i personelly would like to see all the fatal fury team change there boring!! they have'nt changed really from 97!!i don't like the super system either to me it srceams STREET FIGHTER ZERO!!i want Extra mode from KOF98 back!! and i also want my red energy back!!the BG's are'nt really bad but its like there no thought gone into them in my mind only the digger stage and the dessert are really anygood!

Now the good bits!! The strikers!! another capcom copy but who cares its great to see old faces and some new ones done KOF style!!and there are some weird ones 2 cool choi springs to mind!?!and the BG color invert when doin SDM's really works here 2! but to be honest thats all i really liked!!its a good game its KOF for christ sake but its gettin old now!! playin this makes me feel like i'm playin 99 and in my eyes 99 is better and the best!!

the new chracters gah! ok Lin & vannessa are cool there very cool in fact!! but Ramon!!!that pose? WTF IS THAT!!that fat cow thing sumo women why bother and seth a cross between daimon and heavy D!!OH yes talkin of vanessa total ripp of Rick or what!!except of course rick is much sexier LMAO :P

What we need here is what happend in 96 a restyling of chracters drop some old ones get in some GOOD new ones!!get rid of old moves and get in some new exciting ones!!its a good game but just not different enough, KOF2001 i'm hopin and dreaming on u!!

no, i think that the new characters are all very good. Most people don't like hinako at first glance because she appears weak. play with her more, she's pretty deadly. Seth is also very good with his counter throw, which is very useful. he's pretty strong too.

I really enjoyed the game, i think it's fantastic. Extremely technical combo system, not as shallow as SFZ's. (not saying it's bad, just saying.) I really think people need to go below the surface of a game before they make judgements on it. Spend more than a few hours on the game and review it. It's seriously not accurate; because think about it, if you reviewed a CD the first time you listened to it, many CDs you end up liking alot after many listenings would get bad reviews. It's really an injustice, really.

On another note, are you sure Vanessa is a rick ripoff? I don't know whether that's right...

I just played KOF2K with my friend yesterday.
It's a cool game but 96 and 99 are my favorites. I love the cover art so much <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">

I have'nt said its a bad game it is a good game but the new characters are certainly lacking i just expected more its not a new game its KOF99+ its really what 98 was to 97!i just want something new i wanted something radically to change!!in my mind every KOF game so far has give me somethin that i can "thats cool" "i like how they've done that" on 2K i just felt like i was playin 99 with different backgrounds and some new chracters!!really iit was like a DC upgrade! as for vanessa rippin of rick i feel alot her moves feel and look the same! i are'nt complaining its good to have rick n female form!! maybe we will see Vanessa,Rick,Franco Bash and Axel Hawk as a team in 2001!! i hope so!!

96' and 99' are my faves too. Didn't care too much for 97 or 98. 94 and 95 were great respectively.
