Using the fact that it wasn't released in your territory as an excuse to steal the game is pretty stupid.

had i imported a copy i would have no desire to buy the us release as i already own it.

only having a burn means i have the money to support the us release.

importing does fuck all for getting the games here. id rather give snk usa the sale than snk japan.

now all we need is ngbc (WITH 480p PLEASE!)

wouldnt mind seeing a stateside release of rumble fish either.

come to think of it, if they do release NGBC here, I really hope it gets released with faster load times.

Yea, that's the real kick in the pants. I own NGBC and even though I'm not one to bitch about load times...fuck those load times.

Sounds like a plan.

I didn't notice a problem on my model 2 PS2. As long as the music isn't interrupted (Neowave for XBox) I'm happy.

I would prefer this on my Xbox 360 with online play and achievements. But hey, I'm grateful it's actually coming here.

Nice theory. Doesn't change the fact that there are plenty of import games that haven't made it stateside or ever will. Plenty of the systems that have come and gone have proven that.

Good news, I'm happy for members like Southtownkid and others who will finally be able to play the best and freshest KOF in years.

There already are 3D backgrounds arranged version of the PS2 port. How does
3D backgrounds mess up a game?

i'm not saying that it messes it up, it just...looks strange...2D sprites playing in a 2D field with three dimensional back drops?

it's just a little strange that's all. i can only wish that they include the original BG's in there somewhere.

It should have Arcade and Arrange Mode.

Arcade is the Atomiswave game untouched.

Arranged Mode is pretty slick and sweet tho, however too much 'balancing' leaves most players playing vs in Arcade.

I'm wondering if the US version will be released before the PAL one, that is been delayed like forever... At least we got Neowave and NGBC :loco:

Alright!

I've never even seen KOF XI, much less even played it. Unless this gets cancelled for some reason, put me down for a copy!

I've played a bit of it at the arcades, but never really had the chance to sit down with it and play it since almost everytime I went there was somebody who pretty much mastered the game already would own anybody who stepped up to the machine.

Good. Hoepfully during the summer. Though I doubt it.

Gives me time to catch up on neo shit with KOF2k3 and SVC for a while.

you have to agree that its highly unlikely that a major kof game wouldnt get a us release, especially the best one in a long time.

had i know definitely there was going to be no us release, id import.

I'm totally down with this. I imported this when it first came out and was very happy with it. I'd LOVE a version where I can read the cinema screens, rather than having to hit the internet to read translations to understand everything.

Don't know how I feel about them releasing the FF battle archives as two collections the way they did in Japan. Again, I imported both collections but felt that they should all have just been released as a single collection on two discs. More money in the SNKP coffers from addicted fools like me, I suppose.

And I agree with the sentiments on NGBC, which I also imported. Bring it out over here already!

I also want to see a SamSho compilation with all the games. I remember them announcing it, but so far nothing. It's still odd to me that SS 2 has never been released for any home consoles besides the PSX/PS1 (to my knowledge). It would be nice for them to get them all out in one collection. I'm guessing they'll split it up into two when they release it, however.

It still took too long anyway. There is no promise of when the US version will even come out now.

If they released Samurai 5 on its own for XBox, Samurai 6 should be all right on its own. That game is already practically a compilation in itself.

I've guess SNKP-USA has realized that this is what fans here have been wanting this release. I guess we'll just have to see how this game turns out.

(this response is based on the assumption that when you say Samsho 6, you mean Samurai Spirits Tenkaichi Kenkakuten)

Meh. I want a compilation of all the games. I have Tenka for PS2 import and while it's pretty good, it's not the same nostalgic experience that playing the older games is. For me, it's not just about the character selection. i want the old music, the old backgrounds, the old ending cinemas, the old gameplay styles before Bust and Slash...I want for fans to be able to relive the entire SS experience from the ground up, and while Tenka is good, it doesn't deliver the goods in all those respects.

Sure there's playing my old neo home carts for 1 and 2, but I just want them to release an actual compilation of those games as they were originally meant to be played on the NEO. Tenka was an Atomiswave game, and doesn't really deliver the nostalgia that playing a 'classic compilation' brings. It's not the same experience to me.

Anyway, KOF XI for the US...yeah. I'm down with the sickness.

Okay, so a compilation of all the Neo Samurai games on PS2 and then Tenka sold as a separate game. Yep, I can definitely see it all being on one, since Metal Slug Anthology. US compilations always seem way under-priced for what you get, in my opinion. it seems like they're under-selling themselves. Old games are practically considered worthless here.

I don't know if it is so much that as it is SCEA pushing their policies of 2D games must be in compilations and can't be sold as an individual game.

SCEA won't let SNKP release single 2d games at a high MSRP, ie: $40-50.
