KOF 99 Memory Card Issue

I just got an English KOF 99 Home Cart and when I start it asks me if I want to load information from my memory card. There is no KOF 99 file on my memory card, but if I say yes it loads Stage 6. I think it is reading one of my other KOF save files. Has anyone else had this issue with KOF 99?

Are you sure you erased all the the files when you got it?

I completely formated it. Should be clean. And it doesn't show a file for 99.
