Well, just because I love using Terry, I figured I would try that infinite out in KOF97. Power charge, then ducking C, powercharge repeat, right? What I'm a doing wrong? Or is this not how you do it?

this is how i do it.

standing C, foward A, power charge, jump D, and either repeat or if you are in the corner, do a crackshot w/D or a power geyser

Half circle forward kick. Thanks El Duque, I'll give that a try.

Yeah, that's right. It's a little easier to do it with a low A. Doesn't matter which normal move you whiff (A or C or whatever) as long as you do in fact whiff a normal move. The shortcut for a hcf in KOF '97 is dwn-bk, fwd. Just try doing a power charge, then pull the stick dwn-back and tap A, and cancel the very first jab Terry does by pressing fwd + B.

Talking about 1P vs. CPU here? The CPU has always fallen for this trick (never blocks after the jump D juggle), but it's not a bona fide infinite. You'll know you're getting the infinite right if the hits keep counting on the rush meter.

so you must wiff a normal move for it to work everytime?

Exactly. You want to do power charge -> whiff -> power charge -> whiff, etc. Only the power charges will hit and register on the combo meter.

A lot of '97's nastier combos involve whiffing moves, like Mary's 100%.
