I WAS LOOKING THROUGH THE NEO PAGES ON EBAY WHEN AND I SAW A US AES KING OF FIGHTERS 2000 AND THE PRIZE BLEW ME AWAY THEY'RE ASKING $2000 THAT'S JUST WAY TO MUCH MONEY . NOW THE BIG QUESTION IS IT REALLY THAT RARE, ON THE BACK OF THE MANUAL IT SAYS "NEO GEO FREAK" DOES THAT MEAN IT'S ONE OF THE COPYS THAT DION SOLD, HOW CAN YOU TELL IF IT'S AN AUTHENTIC SNK PRODUCT AND NOT NEO GEO FREAK STUFF.

They were the only ones that produced a "US" version of the game. they claim that SNK gave them the rights to produce an american version and considering there are limited copies, is considered rare.

But it is not an official SNK game. Most Neo collectors know this so unfortunately only the unenlightened and naive would bid on this thinking they'll be getting something valuable.

BTW, try not to type in all caps. It makes you seem like your shouting.

EDIT: Looks like Kenny is selling it. Out of curiosity, am I the naive one? Or is the NGF version actually produced with SNK's blessing?

Is this a fucking joke?

Even for Kenny, this is absurd.

BTW, when you type in all caps, YOU LOOK LIKE A DIPSHIT!

:oh_no: @ KPJ

Freaked carts aren't worth shit. Conversions aren't that hard, and any dumbass could print out some new stickers and a manual.

didnt Richard buy a box of them for that price (6 carts)

it does look good except for the NeoGeoFreak stamp on the back of the insert and on the back of the manual

i also like Kenny's 'no reserve' in the text - its freaking $1800 initial bid

the funny thing is the Cart is just a Japanese cart housed in english packing, so youw ill be paying $1700 for the packing

It's an odd situation, but I'm sure NGF claimed that all SNK-USA did sometimes was add a US sticker, insert and manual, and call is a US release. This is what they did too.
They however tried to screw the fans out of $$$ for their packaging, so I supposed KJP should get the same treatment.

It was 10 cent listing day again on ebay yesterday, everybody sets high amounts since the insertion fees are 10 cents no matter what you set.

I think a freaked Kof '00 US is indeed pretty rare.

I doubt any self respecting Neo Geo fan would buy this tainted cart.

Its a shame, Kof '00 is an awesomely fun title.

Anyways, I'm sure someone French or Italian will buy it for that ridiculous sum.

I guess I'm that retard then. I looked around and found that SNK supposedly made 100 english AES carts along with NGF since they aquired some of the assets like the original printing plates and extra when the original company went bankrupt. It probably would be a great rare addition to the AES collection if a person is willing to pay that much for it. I'd rather just stick to the much cheaper MVS version.
