KOF 02 Shock Box Insert

I was hunting for a KOF 02 insert last night but I couldn't find one, so I decided to put one together. What do you think?

I like the back a lot, I also like the use of something other than the logo on the spine though I'm sure some might disagree. I'm not too fond of the front, is that box the normal size? I can't quite tell but something seems off.

As far as I know all the dimensions are normal Shock Box dimensions.

I think its kickass man, I might do something with the front though. I wasnt going to touch this game because I didnt think i could compete with the Original Back of kof2k2 which is really really good. Yours rocks though, great job.

The back looks awesome, and I think the front and spine could be made much better with a few minor alterations. Here are my suggestions:

1) Ditch the SUN logo on the side and replace with an SNK logo. I know SUN made the game or whatever, but I like uniformity amongst my inserts personally.

2) Make the front background pink, like the original. This gives more contrast and stays closer to the original insert. Well, I guess it doesn't have to be pink, but some lighter color would be nice.

3) I'd make the KOF '02 logo on the front diagonal, and would move it up a little bit.

Anyway, I'm glad you took on this project (I was thinking about trying my hand at it) - I never could've done such a great job with the back!

I agree, the back is sweet! The spine is cool also. I think what seems off is that the front picture doesnt extent down as far as they normally do. Most of the inserts extend to around the middle of the meg count, but this one is at the very top. Otherwise it looks great. Nice job.

The front image could take up more space too...

Here's the reworked version:

Fixed the depth of the cover image, tweaked the cover logo, dropped the 1031 mark from the back.

i think we posted nearly same time, sorry, hadnt seen your re-worked version.

It is a really top-quality insert bro. You can always enlarge the image a bit more and just chop off the excessive black space to bring the character closer to the observer.

i posted those quickies just as a suggestion (before you posted your rework).

I would definately use your insert if i had KOf2k2.

Wow, really great work! It is pink and I still love it that says alot! The one thing that I think that could still be changed would be to put the SNK logo on the spine and the Sun and Eolith logos on the back of the insert towards the bottom. Top notch work there...

No, its nothing like that at all. I just like to put my own inserts together, thats all. I make all my own mini marquees for my cab and now I'm doing my own inserts for my MVS carts. I just like designing and laying out my own stuff.

The more inserts the merrier,I state. I know of a few people now who design their own inserts and have done it for years but prefer to I guess keep their collection unique from everyone else's.
All I know is after I am done shipping out parcels,it will be my pleasure to get back into the swing of things...The insert creating is definitely a very fun aspect of this project.
I t's like every creator has their style of soing things a certain way and you can tell.

Yeah. Its a shame though about those individuals that do stuff for themselves and prefer to keep things to themselves. I get excited when people share their work and styles to us. I wish these people would have a change of heart but since its been "years" thats a long time to switch behavior.
