So yesterday I received my kick harness from shadows and tried to plug it in today and I can't get all the buttons to work on my extra button loom. I am using an official sega one from http://www.giz10p.co.uk/index.php?_a=viewProd&productId=85

Basically what happens is that only buttons 5 & 6 for player 2 will work an nothing else. Anyone else know what might be wrong?

Do you have a voltmeter with continuity tester? Make sure the grounds are good on the cable as well as the wires going to the buttons.

Additionally, make sure that the wiring INSIDE the cab going to the 10 pin port are all connected and test properly from the IO board to the 10 pin port

Did you make sure to specify that connector from giz10p to be for the Blast City and not the Naomi?

I got it from another board members so IDK what version it is. I did check and the ground seems good. Does anyone have a pin out diagram for the blAst kick vs the naomi?

Easiest way to tell is this... does your aux kick connector have a pins on #5 and #10 as seen in this picture: http://wiki.arcadeotaku.com/w/Sega_Naomi_Universal

If it does, then you have it wired for Naomi. The Blast/Astro aux kick harness has the grounds on pin #4 and #8

It's wired for naomi. What's the best way to remove the pins? I tried using a sewing needle but that didn't work. They seem to be in there pretty good.

Got it but it is not as easy as the video XD
I had to move 5&10 to 4&8 and then move the old 8 to 5 to get it to work.

Actually, its super easy. You just have to get used to doing it. I can remove all 10 pins in less than a minute nowadays.
Glad you got it working and fixed.
