I really enjoyed the work he did with Goblin on Dario Argento's Phenomena soundtrack.

Terrible shame. There aren't many many true masters of progressive rock keyboards from that era left (thankfully Tony Banks is still around, even if he's not producing any new work like that).

Looks like it was suicide as mentioned in the original post due to depression caused by a neurological disorder that prevented him from playing normally.

I remember listening to ELP as a segue from listening to Yes. Especially Karn Evel 9 and roundabout were a good combo, probably almost an hour of music from 2 songs.
