In KS they call that "stretch goals".

That's much different from DLC. Stretch goals define the limits of the game before it begins development. DLC is just parts of a finished game sectioned off arbitrarily to charge more for later.

Few more updates from this morning:
-We are still pricing out and investigating the possibility of some kind of physical version of the game as an additional new reward tier. Watch this space!

-We’re super thrilled to see the great response to our Beck & Call online co-op mode! Some people have been asking if a Call-only single-player level or levels could be possible; it’s something we have been discussing and could be possible as a later stretch goal, should we be so lucky as to reach many of our current goals.

-As we mentioned in the update, we are looking into different options regarding the possibility of Vita and 3DS versions, possibly as later stretch goals, or through other methods. We honestly aren’t sure how this will turn out, but we can tell you we do hear you, and we are doing all we can to look into ways to make it happen. (By the way, these are not either of the “???” mystery stretch goals -- both of those are game-content related.)

And a promo poster:

Will definitely up my pledge for a physical version.

Or both get their share of development resources, with the unreached goals becoming the DLC.

Because they stretch your asshole?

For anyone who pays into it. $10,000 for a dinner in Japan anyone? XD

A physical version would be insane to have. The console versions seem like only a matter of time now before it happens.

2.2 million hit, Wii U/PS3/360 versions confirmed

With TGS coming up and two weeks left, this Kickstarter is going to pick up some momentum soon. They are also supposed to be opening up Paypal pledges soon.

HUGE day for the game. They did $65,000 today, as compared to just $28,000 yesterday.

That console stretch goal really must have drawn in some backers.

I had read in a number of places that there were quite a few people waiting, saying they would only back the project if it was going to make it to consoles. Between the fence sitters and the press the campaign will garner through TGS to get that Japanese market involved, I think we'll hit a few more goals.

Maybe that's why they lowered the console goal from 2.5 mil down to 2.2 mil.

There is always a surge at the end of a Kickstarter. Think every listed goal except the PS4/XB1 is a sure thing, and even that isn't out of the realm of possibility. Expect to see some days above $100,000, maybe even two or three times that on the final day. The end push is usually not as big as the initial one, but as you can see below the initial one was huge:

They've got to average 74,000 per day, taking into account the push at the end, for the next 14 days to get to PS4/XB1. It just depends on how big of a bump it gets at the end, and whether TGS/unannounced stretch goals have an impact.

The PS4/XB1 goal is idiotic as seeing the game isn't due till 2015 anyway. It should have been the goal in place of the X360/PS3 ports. Not sure how many people will still be playing those two consoles come 2015.

My only counter to this would be that Jack Tretton, head of Playstation in the US, believes that every system they release "has a ten year life cycle." Pretty sure they'll still be releasing games for it...they're not Nintendo.

XB360...hard to say.

The reason for this is Comcept and IntiCreates already have PS3, 360, and Wii U development kits and tons of experience for those platforms. To my knowledge they do not have PS4 or XB1 kits yet, so they would actually have to purchase them and then learn how to use them to make the game on those systems.

And in any case, mascot action/platform games usually tend to get ignored on Sony and Microsoft systems anyway. Games like Rayman and Sonic (as well as all of Nintendo's first party mascot games, obviously) tend to sell better on Nintendo platforms. Rayman Legends on Wii U outsold all the other versions in its launch week despite the Wii U having by far the smallest install base.

I imagine the PC and Wii U versions will sell the most by a long shot no matter what other systems it releases for, but in the end I expect the game to find its way to XB1/PS4 regardless of the stretch goal.

PSVita and 3DS would be good platforms for this game. We got 9 more hours to go...

Over 4 million, all stretch goals reached.

I backed for $146, at the artbook tier plus a physical disc copy. I can't wait to see the t-shirt designs.

Nice! Four million and the third most-funded kickstarter video game.
