OK. MY friend comes over and sees my Neo CD and says, "Hey whats that?" I said, its the king of systems, the Neo Geo." He says, "Ok....doesnt it suck though?"
Now that POED me off, but I said, "Just Try it" SO I whip out a copy of SS1 and pop it it. He says, "Yeah! I'VE PLAYED THIS! It's like the only game they made because it sucks so much..no one now even knows the name Neo-Geo besides you. Wait... don't they also have that peice of Shit Metal Bug game? (He really called it that) What a peice of crap.. that game sucks. Lets play Dreamcast."

It's best not to show the Neo to all your friends because most don't deserve to see it because they just wouldn't understand. I've talked to all sorts of people that think all 2D games are lame, childish, outdated, etc. They wouldn't even want to play one, let alone buy one.

I does irk me when some POS thinks they know more about games than I do because they work at a fuckin' KayBee toys or somewhere similar... And they tell me about how the "good" games are all on the PS2... hahaha

Just about all of my friends were amazed when i first got my Neo. They had all heard of it, and played the games in arcades but never saw the actual system. Even my friends who dont like videogames had fun playing metal slug 2 and KOF 98. I cant stand people who talk trash and bash things they know nothing about. You have to be open minded.

While everyone is entitled to their own opinion, it sounds like your friend let his unfounded bias that he heard somewhere get the better of him. So he missed out on an awesome system.

The majority of the gaming fanbase out there likes cookie-cutter garbage with the latest 3-D graphics. I mean, look at the most popular console right now... what a joke.

But take heart, the Neo is not for everyone. It's for people who take the faded road. I'll take the awesome playability and beautiful 2-D graphics of the Neo over anything they can put out today!
