I'll go Dimahoo. I hardly played Border Down this last month - couldn't get into it and never got past 3rd area. Dimahoo is a game I really really enjoy - excellent scoring and killer muzick.

Is Ikaruga limited to arcade or does the GC version count? Idk if there are different scoring systems on both or not like some other shooters that were ported

It has boss music, has the polarity (long before ikaruga) and has about the coolest item collection system of any shmup. This is a top 5 game. Revotes are allowed

Dimahoo is a Great Game.

It definitely gets my vote.

But it's got three strikes against it.

1) It never received a Dreamcast port, like Mars Matrix and Giga Wing.

2) It's too hard for most people. They don't understand the treasure (score multiplier) system, and they can't get past Level 2. So they never rack up a decent score. And,

3) Recently, people have been picking up Net/Dimms. And I'm sure they want to try them out.


I talked with some shmupers a while back: If GMD got a Dreamcast port, we probably would have already played it by now. The game is great for a manic.

Dimahoo looks awesome, would have loved to have voted for it, but I have no way of playing it (unless you consider MAME via a keyboard as playing)...so Ikaruga it is.
