There were only black and white art sheets supplied with that game from what I understand. Is the ROM available for this title? We may be able to extract some visuals from it and come up with a decent insert image.

There really isn't any 'art sheets' with the kit, just a 'dip sheet' with long
explanations (Instructions), and the good old name of the game. Nothing
at all.

I thought I had seen an insert with horses on the front cover, kinda like the
first screen on the game?

I can't recall anyone submitting/showing a JGP insert but there have been a few threads dealing with the Stakes Winner games.

Well thanks for the info chapps...
I managed to get a rom after ages of searching last night and got it to work on the latest emu Kawaks... I took a few screen grabs including the title screen for the logo which I spent till 3am carefully trimming and cropping so it could be used on the front and spine and also took some action shots for the rear of the insert.. not that there is much action on this to be fair:D

I also got some great large Horse Racing photos that could be used for a front image within a classic style box too....

Anyway, I will work away on it tonight and keep you up to date and once its done you can have it for the website if you all feel its good enough quality...

OK.. here is a very low-res work in progress.. My actual version is around 50MB and is an ultra crisp hi-res bitmap... any suggestions would be good as I dont normally do this but enjoy it all the same... So, for my first attempt at an insert, what do you think..??

P.S. the rear of the insert text was thought up in about 10 seconds so its just there for the sake of it at the moment... I didnt know what to type just yet..:D

The spine and front look good. The text on the backcover needs to be smaller so that we can see more of the horse racing image.
good job

I'm with Big Bear on this one besides, your text isnt for Old Ladies to read from across the room, you can shrink that descriptive stuff quite a bit.

Overall good work for something nobody has done.

Thanks for the comments guys... I have reduced the lettering on the back and added a Guassian Blur to the black & white images too as they were slightly pixilated... Also worked on the spine logo to make it even clearer and neater... change a bit of the type style too on the rear...

Wish I had a more interesting insert to work on but this is the only MVS cart I have got at the moment so it seemed the best place to start... :(

Anyway, Im happy with the results now I rekkon... looks good full size clear and sharpe... :D

It looks good. It's basically about your vision(How you want it to be),everything appears to be positioned correctly and the color is good.

I'm going to try and pump out a KOF 2002 later this evening just because the game motivates me to create a rendition. Having the home cart insert readily available does'nt hurt either :D

something I always do-

I back up my whole working folder onto a cd-rom (or dvd-rom if it's f'n huge) when I'm done with a project and need the hard drive space. That way, i'll have my source images, my illustrator files, and the final output version all in one place in case someone goes typospotting.

I think you were talking to me so I will answer.

I received the image from Dreamstationx and I can release it as is, simply converted to PDF format but the dimensions are a little off. I dont know how this will effect the fit, etc in your shockbox.

Ill try and host it up tonight.

ooops! Yup, your right... its is actually slight too big but by very little so down sizing it wont affect the quality...

Its currently:

Width 37.734cm
Height 23.213

it should be changed to

Width 38.47 cm
Height 23.38 cm

Sorry!:D

Sorry, i havent gotten around to fixing it. I think i will just release it as-is since it shouldnt really make that much of a difference.
