Picked the budget release of this up in Japan on Friday.

Seen as it is coming out in NA pretty soon I thought I'd post a few impressions.

Only played for about an hour so far, but basically, if you are looking for a tweaked version of FF Tactics with lush visuals, impressive music/sound, and great presentation, then you should check this out.

I've got the demo, and it plays pretty nice.

Man, between this, FFT PSP, Disgaea PSP, D&D Tactics, and Front Mission DS, it's a wonderful time to be a strategy gamer.

Don't forget Luminous Arc and I think there is another I cannot remember off the top of my head.

Too many SRPGs, not enough damn time. BTW, I am playing Hoshigami DS now and it is pretty good once you understand the weird magic system.

Well, this just got a 9.0 at IGN. It looks fantastic and from what they wrote, it plays great.

played the jpn demo sometime ago, and i must say that i was very impressed with the overall presentation.

the graphics are lush, and the game plays just as well as it looks.

can't wait for the US release.

I think I might have to get a PSP again for this one. I bought one on launch ages ago, but I traded it away for Last Blade 2 AES.

Now it looks like there's quite a few PSP games I can't resist.

Been playing the game a lot.

Like it. No major complaints. Some loading between menus is a bit annoying but doesn't happen that often.

Also like the way you can take turns with your characters in whatever order you choose. You want your healer to go first in your phase? No problem...

Too bad I gave up on SRPGs years ago because they're too long and too hard.

I have yet to give up on them because I love that style of game but I would agree that they are usually pretty hard.

I will say that the demo of this game is fantastic.

I will concur with both assessments.

I _tried_ to like Luminous Arc, but... it sucks large hairy balls.

Still can't wait for Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness, though.

(goes back to playing Jeanne D'Arc now)

Really good game. I'm up to chapter 3 now.

A general tip for smooth progress during the first 2 chapters would be to play one story battle followed by one free battle, then repeat. This should level you up sufficiently to make it through most story battles in one attempt.

In chapter 3 your crew continues to grow, so this method no longer works really unless you are happy to only play with a set team and leave the other characters to fester.

Cool, I'll have to remember that when I start playing this one full time, Crazy Taxi's been going non stop for me since it came out

It was in stores here a couple of days ago, so I got it.

So far I am digging it, the alternate history is a little hard to get used to if you're a buff, but the gameplay is fantastic. Level 5 tried throwing in a few neat little features without getting too convoluted and hard to learn, which I like in an S-RPG. I highly recommend it.

I'm going to pick this one up this week I think... the positive buzz is way too compelling to ignore. But if I don't finish it by the time Castlevania hits the shelves, I might not get back to it for a while...

I've been playing a lot of this as well... It's just as fun as on the Dreamcast, but there are some irritating draw-in delays when the graphics glitch up from time to time...

I bought it on the recommendation from you guys. Sadly though it is still sitting new on my shelf. Im too busy with my xbox 360 to even give this any time.

Looks hella fun though.

I've been playing it for a few weeks or so. Really great game!

I don't want to give away any plot spoilers, but right now I'm stuck on one of the post-game fights. It involves three charged up villains from the main story. None of them seem to have any weaknesses, and I can't do nearly enough damage before my guys get killed.
