Hello,
Well, ordered a neo geo from Hong Kong. And now I have it! I love the neo geo arcade stick. I get hand cramps with those playstation digital pads. ><. Now to get myself King Of Fighters 2000.
I have actually had this neo geo system for a week. I didnt turn it on because I was looking for a step down convertor. To think I didnt need one! Go figure. It was just sitting around getting no use...
The only game I have for it right now is "Raguy". Also known as Blue's Journey. I ordered it from Shawn. This game has lots of things in it cloned from other 2-D games I remember from childhood. Like at the end of the level you jump on this vine with bells on it. Reminds me of the flag you jumped on in super mario brothers on the NES. There is a boat you can jump on that goes across the water. Looks *very much* like the boat from Castlevania 2: Simon's Quest. There were also some things in the game that reminded me of the Turbo Grafx game "Keith Courage In Alpha Zones." I think that was the name. There were also some elements that reminded me of MegaMan. It was kinda funny, my nephew came in the room just as I thought of the likeness of Megaman, and he said "that game kinda reminds me of megaman". I beat the game yesterday. but I couldn't read or understand anyone. Guess I need to get that debug bios installed huh?
The memory card for the neo geo looks exactly like a type II PCMCIA card. Has anyone else noticed this? Its probably not, but it was interesting. The sound of the system gives me a headache on my mono trinitron TV. >< The sound is much better when you hook up some head phones. At least in my opinion.
I think a new neogeo collector has been born. I think Yamazakisgal wants me to buy her one. She's easy to shop for huh?
