So who's picking up Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3?

I'll have it on XBOX360 tonight. Hit me up if you're on Live! MaximumCB.

I had a chance to play this with my friend tonight. Really happy with the changes. You can finally watch other matches in a lobby and the connection worked just as good as Street Fighter IV did. I played another guy in Kentucky and there was some stutter, but light years better then how normal MvC3 ran. It's pretty much everything that the first release should have been.

Beat galactus a few times on the first day I played it so decided to give it a shot online.
Played 4 times and it was just a blur of specials and I was destroyed so since then I stayed away till I get more use to the controls. Hawkeye and Wolverine are my main two fighters while I test a diff third member each time.

had a 70 match winning streak against computer but since playing online I only won once out of 4

I expect with KOF I will venture online more as much more use to the game style.

I should add as a guy who complained endlessly of how absolutely completely unplayable MVC3 was online to me, UMVC3 is playable now, it's not GGPO or nothing, but it does feel like you can react to things and actually do difficult combo's

People still play this crap? :spock:

you can't just be a troll withought first establishing the game you prefer to play so that I can then counter your trash talk by trashing the game you prefer, that's against the rules.

XXXX game is for scrubs and that is why you like it, you think mvc3 is crap because it is beyond your level of comprehension. lol@XXXX game, that shit was just the flavor of the month, nobody cares about that game.

this will have to do for now.

I saw this in the arcade, but didn't bother playing it. I might pick it up in a month or so when I sell my textbooks.

Didn't see anybody playing Strider. How is he? Does he have any cool traps?

Strider's pretty good. Keep in mind I never used him a lot in either Marvel game, but I'll agree with some folks that he feels a lot like his Marvel 1 counterpart. The only thing with him is he's a glass cannon. He can do a lot of great mix ups, combos and tricky things, but his low health keeps him from being the tops. A lot of people play him as their anchor character so they can have Level 3 X-Factor and the super bars at max. If you can get into his level 3 Oroboros (The multi-shooting ring super) with level 3 X-Factor he can chip away just about anybody in the cast.

yeah I use strider as anchor, he's always pretty good, he may take huge damage, but his mixup options are just stupid.... I can definitely understand why they gave him low health. but you won't wanna be chipping with oroboros I don't think, if the opponent is blocking the rings he can just keep you away from big damage by mashing pushblock
so you do the teleports and wall bounce to get to the other side and constantly fuck with the opponents blocking, once you get a opening which you pretty much always inevitably do, you can kill a character super fast and hopefully kill the next one in line :)

EDIT: I should add that why striders mixup options are stupid and he probably will end up deserving the low health, I don't think his best shit has been figured out just yet so he still is a tad low in the damage output area keeping him from being a killer.

Got this game a couple of weeks ago and I enjoy it so far. It's my introduction into vs games, so it takes some getting used to when I've played SF games for so long. I've done pretty ok so far, I think, beating the game without continues on default settings etc. But online is a totally different story. Right from the get go I went 0 - 9 in Ranked Matches. I was completely blown up. It was very frustrating to say the least when I usually hold my own in SSFIV:AE. My team was Storm, Sentinel and Hawkeye. I was beasting with this team vs the AI but online I barely got any damage in.

Switched around a bit and tried out some different characters. Now my team is Frank West, Nemesis and Hawkeye. Im starting to win a little but my record in Ranked is now 12 - 29.

I found that my main problem is that I dont know how to build meter. And after watching a youtube video, I realised that I was playing Frank West wrong.

I hope this game will 'click' with me soon as the levels of frustration are reaching maximum capacity...

Since I had KOF XIII, this game has been left, but going to give KOF a rest now so will put this back in.

my team of choice is Wolverine, Hawkeye and Storm.

don't feel bad man, the thing about this game is it's not really mainstream popular like MVC3 was (which is a crime because MVC3 is garbage online and this one is good) but yeah unlike MVC3 where almost everyone online sucked, I think online is composed of mostly serious players this time around.
