Great pics, Late!

It's snowing again over here, if this goes on like that, I will need a shovel just to leave the house...

when you gonna be back in canada? you'll rejoin the iced over world then!

yes your home and native land. the icebox

A week tomorrow, actually. Man, time flies. But I've had a lot of fun.

Thankfully, temperatures are going to be between about 3 and 9° over the next week, which is typical for back home. I've grown too accustomed to this warm weather, so I expect to freeze my ass off anyway.

we have about 10 inches or so out the back now. can't find my camera right now, but it sucks because my work shut down. so i'm making no money just sat here.

That sucks! about the job situation, with myself now i got to leave work early a few days cause we had to shut cause of the situation with the buses, and cause of the buses have had to walk like half an hour to the designated bus stop, arggh.

I live at 2000ft above sea level here in the Sierra Nevada mountains. We don't really get much snow below around 2400ish.

Usually the good snow comes in at 3000+ feet.

Cool thing is I can drive for 20-30 minutes in one direction and be where it snows a couple feet. Then I can drive in the opposite direction in the same amount of time and be at 200 feet about sea level where the temperature will be like 40 degrees for the high in the coldest time of winter.

Living in the foothills is cool.

PS: Can someone hook me up with a Santa hat. I can't find my old Santa AVs.

That's what I tell people about living in CA:

It's not Florida, snow is available --but unlike colder parts of the country you can "voluntarily participate in snow" with just a little bit of driving. My childhood home was only a 45 minute drive from a small ski area.

Here are three more snow pics, taken this morning. We never had this much snow in just one night (50 cm/about 20"), really amazing.

Traffic is a nightmare, public transport has been stopped, schools are closed. Currently we're waiting for the snow & ice control trucks to shovel us free... :)
