It's been a long time... What have I missed?

Gents, it's been a while since I poked my beak back into the world of NeoGeo, and I would like to know if there is anything I have missed!

Any good homebrew to run from a NeoSD? Any news on the AES "ASIC" rerelease? (I emailed them some questions, all of which they couldn't answer at the time.) What the hell happened to Razoola?(!) Etc! Help me catch up!

Secondarily, I am starting plans to remake the official AES controller ports (deep board-side DB15) and provide them and a true injected "Giga Long" replacement cable for the AES controllers, as well as extension cables with actual electronics pins unlike the garbage I have seen on eBay, et al. I already have a company making custom connectors for me on another project, so why not? Any interest or commentary would be appreciated!

Lastly, I would just like to say hello again to all the regulars I used to 'know' 20 years ago... if you guys are still alive.

Regarding Raz, last I heard he was having health challenges and took steps back to focus on that, thus discontinuing development on the UniBIOS and his other projects. He was still popping in here and there, but he hasn't visited the forum in a year. Hope he's doing well.

Rot was a drunken tyrant using the forums as his own personal fiefdom to fill the deep, dark hole in his soul. Finally got the boot. EvilWasabi was collateral damage. Forums are a much more pleasant place since then, relatively speaking.

You already know about the NeoSD, so there's that. There's also the BackBit SD cart which, from what I've read, works very well.

The AES+ announcement was a huge shot in the arm for the forums, almost like giving an OD'd junkie a shot of Narcan.

The usual funstering and morons that have come and gone.

Bobak/Aria's been MIA for a long while now.

Some Japanese dude that posted a bunch of screenshots and brief videos of unreleased games and protos, basically just to go "neener neener".

So, fun story...

A year or two back I made an attempt to find out what DVDxplodr has been up to. What I found was pretty great.

While he himself has kept his internet presence minimal, his lover/blood-relative (on the right in the GIF) had been posting to Instagram regularly. The highlight of his IG posts was him taking a selfie with a tampon soaked in hot sauce explaining how he was going to vandalize someone's car with it. A few posts later was a picture of court documents related to him being arrested for vandalism. The kicker? The home address listed on the paperwork shown was a Motel 6 in Tennessee.

You can't make this shit up.
