Rugal in KOF 98 was my nightmare during several months. Even now, I don't know how to beat him.
Actually, the easiest way to beat Rugal is with Orochi Shermie... Do her hcf D move (the kiss) and Rugal will perform his own fireball as well, but Shermie's will win. Just keep doing Shermie's fireball until he dies. Easiest way to beat him... Rugal is what I call a dumb fuck... He,He... Originally posted by EX_Andy:
Easiest way to beat Rugal in '98 is to use a character with a full-screen projectile, then stand on the opposite side of the screen and keep throwing weak versions (A or B button). Rugal will often mis-time the reflector and eat the projectile, and even if he does reflect it, you'll have plenty of time to recover and block it. Then just throw another one.

forgive me for..well not knowing shit ive only played kof2000 in the arcade. but i thought kula was suposed to be the boss of kof00
i thought when i faught zero i failed to complete a requirement to fight kula
so yeah zero was extreamly easy..i thought he was just a subboss..so where is kula?
Well, she's playable in the arcades too, you just gotta put in a code... And btw, DaMan, it's actually the other way around... Kula is the subboss, and Zero is the final boss... They're both easy as fuck tho... And like EX Andy said, you're not missing much by not playing against/as Kula... You're only missing on some cheap ass tricks *cough*Her C throw*cough* and that's probably it... He,He...Originally posted by EX_Andy:
Don't worry about it. And don't lose any sleep over Kula either. She's playable on the home version of KOF 2000 (which many of us have). You didn't miss much, either fighting her, or playing as her.
