is kof r-2 a good game?

It's a GREAT game...It's got a decent amount of fighters ( for a handheld), combos galore, fun "Making" mode ( sort of like a quest mode where you collect items and moves )...

Highly recommended.

Think of it as KOF 98 on the go minus a few charicters! Its the best Pocket fighter besides SNKvsCapcom:MoTM in my opinion.

I second that opinion. Very good game, is King of Fighters 98 for the handheld, plays just as well as SNK vs. Capcom, I wish they had splurged on the title like they had with SNK vs. Capcom though, the cartridge is only 16 Megs vs. the SNK vs. Capcom 32 Megs, but then Densha De Go 2 is the only other title that actually utilized the 32 Mega Power on the NGPC. King is clearly absent from the game, even when she has been in every King of Fighters since 94... Oh, why couldn't she be in Gals Fighters? But, you do get to play Orochi Team, Omega Rugal and a lot of the special alternative versions of the characters like Real Bout Special versions, Kyo '94 and so forth.
