Is Kim really shit in SvC or am I missing something?

No really, i gotta ask, has Kim been severly f*cking r*ped in this game or what? I really hope it's just been me playing shit cos if it aint, i'm very disappointed.

P.S. Apologies if he's exactly the same as he is in kof2001, but i barely play that game (even though I've had it for about five months) and have never picked on the few occaisions where i have layed it.

And another thing, the sodding Demetri cheat doesn't work for me, i keep getting lumbered with Earthquake, who i cant use for shit!

I don't think Kim is weak at all, he plays just like his KoF2k2 self, which is very powerful IMO.

Kim doesn't play like his KOF2k2 self, because his hishokyaku doesn't run down in 2k2. Even though it runs down in SvC, you can't combo it from a crossup (or at least the few times I tried), like in KOF98.

And what's wrong with Kim in CvS2? He's a monster in that game.

Kim in SvC looks like his KOF 2k2 self with some toning here and there.His qcb+P follow-ups is all there intact which is good.

Yes. He was the best in 98. I tried him in 2k2 and didnt care for his new feel.

Kim in SVC is decent... I think being in a game without a roll hurts him more than anything else. Hien Zan out of a roll is a mobile anti-air attack for instance... without the roll, Kim has to visibly turtle if he doesn't use Hien Zan immediately after recovering from something.

Without both the roll and the Comet Cruncher, Kim has problems breaking people's guard. I think to use Kim successfully, the GC must be heavily incorporated.

The Battle Instinct fundamental combos are the short qcb+A combo posted above and:
C(2-hit),qcfx2+K,late D Hien Zan,d+D

Other combos:
max mode A,qcb+A,qcb+A,qcb+C,qcb,hcf+K or BD
max mode qcb+A,qcb+A,qcb+B,d,u+D,d+D
qcfx2+K,exceed
