Is it possible to make a console out of any Jamma PCB?

I don't know anything about arcade hardware or building superguns, but I was just curious to see if it would be possible to consolize any standard Jamma PCB? When I get the money and take the time to learn this stuff somewhere down the line, I'd like to try something like this.

I know it sounds odd as you can just plug any Jamma game you want into a supergun, but a few of my favorite games are arcade classics that I'd like to make a permanent console out of someday. I just figured that since it can be done with MVS boards, it might be possible with other PCB's as well. So what do you guys think?

Yes, basically it would be possible with any JAMMA board, but why don't just use a supergun for all? Take care that you would need to spend a lot of money in parts for each one, basically a PSU and if you want to use a USA TV, a RGB encoder.

It is only worth it in PCBs that accept a lot of different games through a cart system, like MVS.

You could always make an external audio/video box and external fullsize JAMMA power supply, then consolizing different boards wouldn't be that big of the deal.....

What's the difference between that and a supergun?

Well, he can make the audio/video box and the external power supply.......

then he can consolize the jamma boards inside a box of some type with controller ports, a power switch, and whatever other buttons are things they want...... including a four controller port panel for one of those games :)

It's more about fun and looks then being practical....at least that's why I want to do it in the future.

This way, he can have the fun of having this consolized board, without having to buy the jrok, powersupply, and wire up all the audio staff every time.
