Is it possible to change the button layout on an MVS cab?

I'm not really sure what to call it, but does anyone know where to find the replacement button panel for an MVS system?

One of the local grocery stores has 2 MVS units side by side, and I noticed that the button layouts are slightly different on each.

One has the "classic" MVS set-up, with the A button set about 2 finger-widths down and to the left of the B button.

However, the second one has the buttons laid out more like the original style joysticks that came with the home cart system - all buttons have the same amount of space inbetween them, and are set in a slight arc, (which makes them a lot easier to use, IMO).

I'd prefer to get this kind of set-up, but I was unsure how much work would be involved in switching my cab to this (it currently has the "classic" style button layout), and also where I would even find the part to begin with (I already checked Happ's website, but couldn't find anything - unless I'm just missing it).

Any help anyone could give would be much appreciated.

I'm curious where to get a replacement control panel as well. I got a generic cab with 4 button control panel but the button layout is 2 top and 2 down (square shape arrangement). I want to switch to NEO MVS style with 4 buttons in a horizontal arc lineup.

Anyone?

In case anyone was still unsure, I was browsing around eBay and saw some pictures of some 4-slot Japanese cabs, and these look like they have the button configuration I'm looking for.

I know it's not exclusive to the Japanese machines though, as the one here in town is on a standard American cab...

I think all you need is a different Control Panel and Control Panel overlay (the overlay being just the artwork that goes on the CP). I believe the CP is fairly easy to replace, but I've never done it. As for where to get one, most likely somewhere like Video Connction (www.videoconnect.com), Ebay, or another vendor that advertises in RePlay magazine.
