I plan to get a Atomiswave but should I not get it because of how expensive the system is and games for it? Give me some ideas guys I know a few of you out there have this system, is it worth getting? Thanks

IMHO, I would recommend not getting it. the system is pretty much dead, and most games for it can be had on consoles, not all of them, but most of them.

Get a PS2 and buy the ports, they end up being better than the arcade originals considering the amount of extra's that are packed in!

on the one hand I can see why peeps want to put down the AW in favour of the ports.

on the other I find it completly decieving. there are people who want to play on original arcade hardware and not always look for an alternative. there are many people here that have an MVS collection even though could get their hands on a modded xbox or do. many opt for this instead of owning the real thing, and many others preffer to go via the traditional route.

ports and roms are not the end all and be all of arcade gaming, people still seek expensive carts both as gamers and collectors, even though they can play them for free via emulation.

if it's a question of expense it may not be worth it - but saying that the ports are more justified, in the context of the question at hand, I think is a cop out.

you can always take advantage of special offer you may find across the internet to pick up carts for cheaper, and I say this from experience. the high prices are not off putting to me because it sets a challenge for me- to see if I can play what I want and spend less. does not always happen but it does ocassionally.
