Knowing me, i'll probably end up getting one. I'll still keep my DSLite, of course. Sucks they had to do away with the GBA slot. I'm one of those gamers that still loves to play their GBA stuff. Maybe they'll make them downloaded since the new DSi has internal storage space through a SD card slot.

Two camera's sounds interesting. One of the jokes i heard was one will be used to take a picture of those using a R4 device. lol

Well, I'm glad I didn't buy a DS recently like I'd planned. Sony already got me by announcing a new model PSP a couple months after I bought one.

I'd almost rather have one with GBA support, but I have a GBA already so its not a big deal.

Damn, this actually looks pretty good to me. I have an original big-ass DS, and I seriously thought about buying a DS lite for a while, even though I hardly needed it.

But with the bigger screens, the camera, web browser, etc... I might buy it.

I'll probably get it.
I have fond memories of gameboy camera and it looks like there is a sick Excite Bike visualization when you play mp3's.

Nintendo makes such great handhelds I have no quarry at all about slapping down the money for all these new revisions despite the absurdity in the number that they each come the end of the systems life cycle.

As usual, this new model sounds great and I'll buy one on launch.

I'm definitely getting one. I really don't give a shit about the camera function, but bigger screens and a thinner frame are all good. I'm still using my launch DS, so I figure it's about time for an upgrade anyway.

I'm sticking with my DS Lite. The screen size jump is fairly small and I don't think a list of features I won't use are worth losing my GBA Slot.

Ehhh... I'll probably stick to my DS-Lite unless some pretty cool games come out that utilize the new add-ons. Anyone else see the return of the Game-Boy printer lol.

Hmm, seems like it could be a bad idea for Nintendo to include an SD slot... Also, GBA slot > thinner system.

I don't know about this... no processor enhancment? Pass. Where am I supposed to stick the RAM expansion cartridge for my Opera browser, or my rumble pack.

The hell with this camera edition. I already have a digital camera. This is for casual pedophiles that want to touch little witches.

Apparently this thing isn't coming to the States until well into 2009 anyways, so I guess it's a moot point for now at least.

I dunno. After using the launch DS for so long, I gotta say it does look like it might be worth upgrading. And I don't have a digital camera. So... Yeah.

That looks pretty cool. I still have and play my original DS and have been thinking about upgrading to a lite for the brighter screen and smaller size (also then my girlfriend and I could both have one and play tetris together). But after seeing that I might want to hold out for a few months and get one of these.

But then again if they turn out to suck, I might just have to get a lite because I'm sure it's price will drop when the DSi is out.

It's shiny.

if the DSi had online functions i could see the point of a camera.

i mean, it does have better online capabilites than the Wii and all, but i see no reason to upgrade from my lite.

I have the same feelings.

Digital camera is serious bidness. I own a Canon PowerShot, I would never want to lug around the DSi with its camera lens exposed like that, to take 3 mp low-res pics, ugh. The only selling point looks like DSi Wares, but I am reluctant to be a new adopter on that, since I'm not keen on any of the other features. Unless the built-in web browser is fast like the dickens, why bother.

The even thinner frame, larger display, and built in web browser are a plus if it's at least as fast as the PSP browser. With the SD port, I'm interested in programmers go with emulation. For at least a year, I've only been using my PSP for Neo emulation, sure there would be a limit on what games I could play, but I'd be happy to use an even Smaller DS for them. I still have the original PSP, so that thing in my coat pocket is like a brick.

It just seems more crippled than anything.

You take away GBA and Battery life.

You gain a camera and a bigger screen....

I never played GBA games on my DS, I have a micro for it, and I haven't touched that in god knows how long. It should be better for the new Metal Slug, I played a little of it, and I couldn't always see what was happening.

I'll just get it when/if it's confirmed to work *cough* homebrew *cough* as easily on lite (= good GBA support). If the community creates a work-around for needing the slot-2 to run GBA, I'm in.

The same with the PSP-3000 - just when (and if) the mods are available.
