SVC is 'fun' with a group of friends or when playing alone, it is a disaster for serious competitive play, considering how broken the damn thing is, you cannot deny this.

Guile blows, face it. SVC has given great priority to super jumps and you can jump over his sonic booms all day long and combo him. Don't even get me started on the FGS, its a massacre. His Exceed even though useful is damn easy to avoid, the controls seem to have an autoguard on it as well sometimes, a glitch probably.

Uhhhh...Guile does not suck. At all. Highjump over Sonic Booms? Eat his new Flashkick super and lose 35% of your life. Nice job there. Guile recovers too fucking fast from Sonic Booms, and the charge time is now ridiculously short, to the point where he owns the ground with them. If you try to GCFS through them, he can just throw you because of his ultra-fast recovery. If he doesn't have meter for his super, he can just jump and airthrow you when you jump at him (airthrows have ultra-mad priority in this game). So his basic gameplan is throw Booms until you jump at him, then super/airthrow you, and if you somehow manage to get in on him, he'll GCFS and throw you or use a CD counter to put you on the other side of the screen. Retarded, and it works.

Is this for real? How many people have you tried this on and had it work? Characters like Kyo, Mai, and Shiki zone Guile's sonic boom shit with a quickness.

No. He doesn't have his MK crossup, nor his MP to link quick 2-in-1s. His crouching MK pushes the opponent too far back to be considered a good poke too. Basically in order to play Guile, you have to resort to cheeseball tactics (like mentioned above) that will not work against good players.

Guiles is about pressure. You jam an opponent into the corner, and knee them, stepping kick them, backhand and sonic boom them to death. If they jump, you uppercut, air-throw or sonic boom them. Toss in some throws, repeat. You can't do that with this Guile... at all.

Okay, so I've concluded that I'm just not the Guile type of player for this game. I am big normal user fiend and Guile's normals are just limited in my opinion. I give mad props to anybody who has mastered him and I'm just gonna stick to my Iori/Ken/Kyo. This game is still fun as hell, even with its broken hit detection. Definitely not for competitive play, but good for a saturday afternoon with some bud
