Hello everyone. A friend of mine has a Super Neo 29 Candy in his possession and was wondering if anyone would be interested in buying it. He offered it to me, but I'm not a huge fan of the art work on these cabs.
I'm going to go out and take a look at it in the next couple days and will be sure to get some pictures.
He says the monitor looks really good and overall the cab is in good condition, but needs to be cleaned.

Would anyone be interested in this?

Okay, so I went to check this cab out and here is what I noticed. I has been converted before to Capcom vs SNK. I hooked my 4 slot mobo to it and the game played fine, but I only heard sound out of 1 speaker. We had to turn it on and off a couple time for the monitor to turn on. When it did turn on, it made a high pitched squeal, so I assume the flyback may be in danger. The control panel has been painted white and the overlay has a pick sticker over it... I can see the old overlay under the sticker. It only has 4 buttons per side, but on the underside of the panel, it looks like you can put 7 buttons per side (4 on top, 3 on bottom).
Because of the monitor, he may negotiate a bit, but he was asking $550.
And the pictures:

Sigh...

I don't suppose that awesome pink sticker can come off? Super Neo 29 CP's aren't very easy to come by...

With the sound only coming out of one speaker, I wonder if it's been rewired to Jamma from MVS or simply has a busted speaker...

Is it missing the back cover?

Thx

You might be able to use a heat gun and peel the pink sticker off. Is there anyone that can make a reprint for it? I know http://mcs-arcade.com/ reprinted my Egret II cpo. I assume it's been rewired for jamma, but I couldn't tell just by quickly looking at it.
The back panel is missing.

He sent the chassis off for repair. Turns out it was just a faulty resistor and not the flyback. If you look closely, you can see the control panel sticker under the pink one, Click Here

SOLD....TO ME!!

I have a lot of work to do on this, but after some paint and polish, it'll be good as new.

Now I just have to find a back panel....and some scans of the control panel.....

Anyone?
