4/7/14 - We have stopped taking orders, and we have moved to the fulfillment stage. The information below is just left for those that have ordered.

5/15/14 - All Everdrives have been shipped!

Hey guys, mjmjr25 is in the middle of a very complex group guy already, but Krikzz just finished work on the Gameboy Everdrive, so I thought I would coordinate the group buy this time. I'm going to try to keep things as simple as possible, and keep this only to Gameboy Everdrives, nothing else.

Gameboy Everdrive PCB Only - $60
Gameboy Everdrive with shell, custom label made by the NG community, 8GB Class 4 microSD installed and fully loaded w/ ROMS - $70
Shipping will be $3 in US, $6 in Canada

Please calculate your total and send as gift or add 3.5% to cover fees. Once I place the order it would normally take 2-3 weeks, but they are currently on back order, and in high demand, so I don't know if it will take a bit longer, so please be patient.

Put me down for one. Did Krikzz say he would have another batch by April 15?

Waiting on some paypal money to come back in (some asshole tried to scam me on ebay) should clear this week if that is alright.

I'm in for 1 as well, if you're including Canadians. If so, I'm assuming a bit more money for shipping?

I'm interested but, curious about a couple things.

1. Will this work on a GBA SP or, does it have to be the original ie. the big grey Game Boy? Will Color/Pocket work with it?

At the moment, I play all my GB stuff on my SP so, this is kind of important...

Shipping to Canada will be $6, so $66 total
Is there an option to get one with the shell?
Yes, sorry I forgot to include that detail. It looks like it is $60 PCB, $70 with a shell. I am confirming that, but thats what it looks like at retrogate. If you all that have confirmed can PM me or reply here and let me know if you want a shell or not. Thanks!

About the shell, can you just throw any old GB cart's shell on it? I have a trashed copy of Klax that I'd LOVE to just throw in the trash, LOL.

According to the retrogate product page it will:

http://shop.retrogate.com/Everdrive-GB-EDGB.htm

Compatible with all systems which supports GB and GBC cartridges, including Super Game Boy

From the pic, it looks like you will need to use a GBC cart shell, but yes. If you want to access the microsd without taking apart the cart, you will need to cut a slit in the cart.

I guess I COULD use my Shantae shell I have just lying around...j/k.:D

Looks like the group buy is full. Let me know if you ever decide to do another one, though.

And now that I think more about it, you'd want to use a GB shell, not a GBC shell in case you want to use it in a original gameboy or gameboy pocket

Yeah, good call. Just tried to see if Shantae would fit in my original GB with the power on (already knowing it wouldn't work...just trying for fitment) and no dice. So, that picture on the website...I'm wondering if the right side is notched in so you can at least turn it on in the original GB/Pocket?

Jon

PS: Go ahead and put me down...I hope it's OK to send payment in a few days.
