Just wondering, does anyone know how easy it is to still pick up SCART cables and switches in the UK? Going there soon for a work thing, and was thinking of maybe picking myself up more cables and switches. I can't think that SCART is still widely used over there, right? The market must've switched to HDMI sometime in the last 5-8 years.

Update!

Shipping notices have already went out to about 10 users on the list. This first set of individuals were one's not purchasing Scart cables. The cables are due to arrive today. I will finish up the list over the next 48 hours contacting the remainder of the folks. I expect to have ALL packages shipped by Thursday or Friday at the latest.

Thanks for your patience.

My understanding is that Scart is still pretty common in the UK and should still be easily available to purchase most everywhere.

Cables arrived today:

Pretty thick cabling and seem to be well built especially considering the low price. All pins are wired and it has a foil shielding. For less than $5 each, I believe people will be well pleased with these.

Cap is already boxed with the switch, playa.

If you need a cable, it will have to wait till the next group buy in 4 to 6 weeks.

Update!

21 orders shipped! All of these have been marked with SHIPPED beside them.

3 are pending with Shipping info sent. Soon as the buyer submits shipping payment, I will send it out.

Final 6 packages are awaiting a shipping quote sent from me to the buyer. Some of these I haven't been able to do because I ran out of shipping supplies or there are special circumstances (being shipped with another, unrelated item and etc.).

I expect to get shipping quotes to the last few buyers tomorrow evening.

Thanks everyone for being patient!

If anyone on the list whose name has SHIPPED listed beside it and would like their tracking/customs number, feel free to drop me a PM. I have them all available.

Awesome! Glad to hear it's working out for you.

UPDATE!

Another large batch marked as shipped.

All that remains are 3 scart switches to ship. The one for Whisper goes out with another package that I am due to send to him and the remaining two unit are for TeddyKGB and Mikhail and will be shipped together.

Thanks everyone for participating in this group buy.

I have a couple more group buys lined up for this summer. And I'll do another Scart switch/cable one in 4 to 6 weeks or so depending on demand.

Super super fast shipping. Tested briefly last night and looks great. Will be putting it to the test at a retro gaming meetup this morning. Thanks again!

Awesome! Looking forward to hearing more impressions from folks as they received them.

I think I have left feedback for almost everyone that I have shipped a package out to as well.

Indeed it did arrive and works perfect! Thanks!

Btw I get wierd issues when I try to daisy chain two boxes together. My PC engine goes bonkers, looks what it looked like before I bought a sync stripper where the picture rotates rapidly vertically. Other consoles have this weird wiggle to the picture. These issues are not present when I use one box. Not complaining as these boxes are not designed to be daisy chained together, just figured I'd point that out.

Thanks a ton for doing this group buy Todd, really can't stress that enough. I was about to drop $60 on this same box on ebay before you came along.

has anyone else noticed that the red led does not light up when the 5th positron is selected?

or am I just lucky?

I dont care and it doesn't matter either way, just found it odd.

something is connected and is powered on, right? It pulls voltage from pin 8 on the SCART cable. have you tried that cable in another port?

Dang. That's what I wanted to do. Plugging 2 of these into a third would give me just the right amount of inputs....... hmmmm

its no big deal I just switch the scart plug from the TV to the switchbox that has the console I want to use, really not that much added effort. And then I get the full 10 input slots as opposed to 9 when you daisy chain.

No, it's not much added effort, but my goal is to connect all of my consoles to the TV so that I don't have to change or plug in any wires when I want to play one of the systems.
