Broken -

The dimensions are:

Width - 11"
Depth - 3.75"
Height - 8.5"

Hope that helps! :)

Excellent.

Thanks!

yeah. Well minus the external psu that is.

I'll need take it down the post office and get it weighed. At a guess I would say no more than 1kg before any external shipping packing weight is added.

Get back to you.

lol no need to bother yourself with doing that. I was just guesstimating the weight based off of the Amazon.com listing for it. Besides I'll have the first 5 units tomorrow and I can weigh them then.

Had to go the Post Office anyway, so wasn't any trouble.

Without the psu it weighed 830g boxed... the psu is quite weighty, and I would safely assume it'd push the weight over 1kg if included.

Now. Post my lead mofo! :D

Mine has had issues although I suspected the scart to scart cable.

Can anyone attest for the build quality of these are? My Hama clone, which others have loved, has some wiggle on the SCART socket which can really fuck with the signal input, and makes me cry a bit on the inside.

Had a chance over the weekend to play with the switch some more.

Final verdict: Excellent.

Pros:
No interference in the video even with multiple sources turned on
No buzzing or humming audio on the stereo RCA audio out jacks
Snug Scart sockets. This was an issue with the Hama 3 port switch and the clones. The scart socket just wasn't really that tight. On these Bandridge units there shouldn't be any fear of a cable just falling out.
Swivel foot that rotates out so it can stand up right. No shitty little stand/foot to loose or fall off.

Cons:
As others have said they are light weight. I recommend putting some little rubber feet on the bottom to keep it from sliding around.

Other comments:
While I haven't opened the case on mine up yet, I suspect there is plenty of empty room inside the case. Would be easy enough to install a LM1881 sync stripper right inside the unit. I would add a switch so you can turn it off when it isn't needed.

This sounds like exactly what I want right here. ;)

It's a pretty nice switch. Better overall build quality than the Hama units and their clones.

@ ALL - I have updated the first post with the list of interested individuals. I will start contacting folks in the next couple days to make payment arrangements. In the meantime, I am working to get the prices even lower on these. This is a group buy, so I'm not making anything on this at all. I think I might be able to shave a couple more bucks off each unit, but i am waiting on a quote back on that.

Once I read the price was lowered I was sold! I don't need it right now, as I do already have one of your HAMA clones but very soon those 5 slots will be needed. Count me in for 1 Todd. Not even making a dime, you're a good man!

Glad to hear they are solid units (and my name is on the interest list). Definitely still interested, just let me know the final price and I will get the money to you.

Would a sync stripper make it not necessary to use EXT sync on a PVM? Just curious....What exactly is the benefit to having one installed?

Also, thanks for the honest review Yodd. Look forward to these.

No, you still need to use external sync on any RGB monitor. No way around that. Unless you go component video, but that kinda defeats the purpose.

Really, most PVM users don't need a sync stripper. Some of the older (early/mid 80's) PVM require composite sync and don't like composite video as sync. However the vast majority of PVM monitors will happily use either.

A sync stripper really benefits folks using other RGB monitors (NEC XM29, Commodore 1084 and etc). For these monitors they require a very strict composite sync and won't accept comp. video as sync at all. Also, XRGB-mini owners really benefit from a sync stripper. The mini is kinda fiddly with regards to sync levels and a LM1881 virtually solves all those issues.
