Just finished building 8 of my Scart to BNC cables for a forum member over @ Shmups.

IMG_0682%2520%2528Medium%2529.JPG

These are slightly different in that instead of using RCA outputs for the audio, they have longer audio cables terminated with molex connectors. They are intended to plug into a Extron RGB switch.

It's almost like I need my own thread.

"Shit Todd has finished building today..."

Just finished the Jamma-Saturn box for Adderall!

WP_000836.jpg

Typical LV mounting for the CPS2 and JAMMA edge, with a Volume pot for cabs without amps (internal amp)

WP_000837.jpg

Mounted the Video cable using the screw on the cable itself, controllers on the left.

WP_000833.jpg

And now, the Guts. EVERYTHING is bolted to the box. AMP, Sync cleaner AND controllers. Nothing is bouncing around in this mother.

Gotta admit, I'm really excited this is done!

Very nice dude. What kind of wire are you using?

22 gauge wire for the mod.

I would have taken pics, but the 2933 chassis has problems with video from game consoles. It's really dim =/.

does an RGB amp help out at all?

I tried making my own but it just washed the already dim colors out. I corrected it on a JAMMA-GENNY I was working on by tapping the RGB lines before they were resisted from 1v to .7v.. it appears the .7v consoles output is too weak for the 2933. Man, I wish I had an AWSD or a NAC to test these on..

Send it my way and I can test it on the cabs that I own. ;)

I successfully resurrected this:

NET CITY!!!!

Installed a new amp, also.

That's VF4:E running on my Naomi 2.

Still needs reassembly and controls, but the guts work great now.

Nice, I like how you repurposed the scart connector.
How are you powering it, through the jamma harness?

I finished a Jamma Genny for Zenblaster:

temporary-4-1.jpg

temporary-5.jpg

A,B, and C are over cps2, X, Y, and Z are buttons 1, 2, and 3 on the jamma harness. The mode button is assigned to test for P1, and service for P2. I haven't tested the region mod as I don't have a japanese cart, but it should work.

well after making stereo cables for the blast city, i figured might as well tackle installing a stereo amp in the egret. seeing as i will never find a tatio stereo amp :/
after some research i decided to run a seperate set of speaker wires with disconnects for the egret, i still need to get a board cut so i can mount the amp itself...

amp in the egret, yes i know i have some rust...

and the how i have the wires ready for mono and stereo :D that way i dont hack into any wiring.

Finished up modding a TurboGrafx 16 I received from Mugicha in a trade.

RGB modded it with stereo audio and composite video as sync. Used a mini 8 pin din and installed it where the useless RF output was at keeping a stock external appearance. Borrowed this idea from Mmmonkey. The RGB amp design came from GameSX

Next up: Atari Jaguar RGB Scart and S-video cables for a couple forum members. Pictures of those in a day or two.

Holy poop that was fast! I didn't realize the pcb was shaped differently than the pc engine, I just thought it had a bigger case.

yeah, I dunno why NEC felt the need to change the PCEngine case and innards to the larger TG16.

However, on the left side (sadly where the light reflection is at) you can see there is some large, unused space with an area where they could have soldered in a onboard game. I guess that was a possibility when they were redesigning it.

However I wish they had stuck with the PCEngine's smaller footprint.

I always felt the worst thing about the TG16 was needing the Turbo Tap for more then one game pad. With that extra space you think NEC could have thrown one in, at least given us a two pad port option on board or something.

that's actually one of my favorite things about the pc engine:

from wiki:
the NEC PC Engine holds the record for the world's smallest game console ever made. (Guinness World Records Gamer's Edition (2008)

That Jaguar SCART cable looks awesome! Both quality Jaguar games will look great in RGB.
