Hey for those who care; Legend of Kage 2 is fucking awsome!! Old school gameplay FTW. The sucky part is all the dumb dialogue, but I have my DS set in spanish and it's pretty hilarious given that they use spanniard dialect which is in truth the actual spanish that should be, kind of like UK to the US, you see, but still it sounds pretty funny and cool at the same time, so no complaints whatsoever on that.
The story seems a bit lame, but really...who cares! The gameplay is pretty spot on. At first I was a bit dissapointed 'cause it seemed a bit loose granted that the speed of the game is pretty fierce, but then it only took a second try and I was comfortable with it, is faster than the Original Legend of Kage, but somehow it feels a bit like Ninja Spirit and it uses both screen for gameplay which is always A OK in my book.
I've only gotten to the third stage so far, but I have a feeling this game is gonna kick so much ass along the way, that I'm excited about playing it soem more. I haven't had this feeling since Harmony of Dissonance came out, I really like fast paced games like this.
Oh! And the combining orbs thing for making your own NInjiutsu; at first I was like WTF?! this sucks RPG balls bs!, but then I figure I try it just to see wtf is up with that googly moogly and it's actually quite intuitive and pretty cool, 'cause you can actually see what it does before hand, plus you can use the orbs to your liking and rearrenge them endelssly until you find what suits you best. I am happy! Finally some odd elements of cheesy games well used!
While this game won;t be bringing anything new to the table, it kicks major ass on the good old school of old school stuff.
Another game that deserves a mention in case you want more excelllent games of this type for your DS or GBA:
Ninja 5.0: Now this is very possibly the best game for the GBA ever!
