Hey all - Found a NOS Hyper V2 (fighting game) Mobo and a copy of FFWA. Yay! Or so I thought...

Running into a "known" issue I've come across where the 3D models only get some awful texture/model glitches where it looks like lines are missing from it.
Here's an AP forum post with a dude that has a similar issue: https://www.arcade-projects.com/threads/hyper-neogeo-64-help-corrupted-textures.26536/

What I've done:
  • Cleaned Jamma edge
  • Deoxit connections (cart to mobo)
  • Reseated a few times
  • Tested voltage on Supergun - 5.0
  • Tested voltage on Neo Candy 29 - 5.07
  • Boot screen indicates all RAM/ROM checks OK
  • Test screen indicates all RAM/ROM checks OK
I don't have another game to check, nor another mobo handy (who has multiples of these things?).

Anyone have any additional advice or did I get a bunk board? Thoughts? Prayers?

Nice find. My NOS rev 1 glitches out sometimes; it doesn't look like that. More like screen brightness issues, if I recall. Anyway, I chalked it up to power issues, and got a beefier arcade power supply for my supergun. The rev 1 at least seems draw extra wattage compared to the typical jamma board.
