For me, here in Youngstown, I'm 16 and unable to buy games rated mature.

I swear this rule just came about right after Goldeneye (N64) came out, and the school shooting at Columbine.

I don't even think they know about ESRB ratings here...nobody has ever stopped me and I'm 14. I've bought the BASTARD!! DVD...its called bastard, has some hentai, and has a higher security rating than American Pie. The clerk was saying how it was a funny movie when she rang it up. Hehe.

I know Bastard!! doesn't have an ESRB rating, but that just goes to show how relaxed they are. Hell, I could probably walk out with some hard-core porn and they wouldnt care.

Supposedly all Wal-marts are required not to sell Mature titles to minors unless companied by an Adult. Also, there supposed to check IDs when they do an age check. I believe the legal age to buy a Mature game is 17 but the irony is a 10 year old kid could probably buy a rated R movie in the same place and not be hastled!

Check this shit out. I was at Target and I bought the Perfect Dark for $10. The item scanned and asked for an ID. I am 26. the Cashier asked me for it. I laughed and said,"Are you serious?". she said she was. I told her the date of birth, and she requested to see the ID. I laughed again and accomodated her. I just thought it was funny as I don't look like I am 17. Sheesh. Oh well, I got it for $10 so I didn't care too much....just thought it was humerous.....

I remember when I was younger the only place that ever gave me trouble with mature rated games was Funcoland.
