How rare is Brikinger/Breakers?

I've played Breakers before, and liked it. But I've never played Brikinger, and I'm wondering if it's worth the money people are asking for it?

I have seen one Breakers on Yahoo Auctions, but it's being sold by Buyrite (with a reserve, which I hate... just tell us the freaking minimum price dammit!) and I refuse to do business with them.

I guess I just want to know if it's worth it before I start busting my ass looking for these games.

I don't know brikinger.For me there are only two games:Breaker and breaker revenge.

Brikinger is a great rendered shooter with multiple paths and good music. It's not worth crazy money (unlike Pulstar, Strikers 1945, or Blazing Star) unless you are a shooter nut like me. <IMG SRC="smilies/loco.gif" border="0"> If you can get one at a good price, or if you are a serious collector, go for it. If you cough up over $200 for a CD just to play it and you aren't a serious shooter fan you probably will feel it isn't worth it. Mine cost me $70.00 a few years ago and I love it. <IMG SRC="smilies/glee.gif" border="0">

In the CD Price Guide, its rarity rating is "EER" (extremely extra rare). It's not quite worth $200-something in my opinion as you can find far better shmups. There are some slowdown issues, and I found the action not intense enough. I'm more partial to Blazing Star and Darius Gaiden (a Taito F3 game, but it still deserves a mention).

I was really astonished that someone bid
$330 for my Brikinger recently on German Ebay. The game itself is indeed rare but
a very mediocre shooter with lame game
design. If you're not crazy about shooters,
pass ist.
