I came to the same realization a month or two ago as well... My explanation is that the government probably gets a cut of the profits made somehow... Either that or we're the only two people who've ever thought about this before.

Prostitution is basically paying someone to have sex with you.

Pornography is when someone's bankrolling you to have sex with another person/actor. The person paying isn't having sex with anyone, and there's usually a whole film crew involved who are also being paid not to have sex.

Wow, that sounds confusing. But that's all I could come up with.

wouldn't prostitutes legally have to claim their street sluttin' earnings on their W-2's? sure would suck to be a prostitute and get audited for like $15 earned on the street for a ZJ.

well the video would probably be legal, but the initial act of bopping the hooker would still be illegal. now if you were to give a bum a sandwhich for his time and pay a hooker to give him a rimmer and film that...you might be in the clear. only thing i wonder about is if there is a Porn-actors guilde or a union of some kind, or a "players association". like only card carrying members can get away with it.

yeah, i've thought about this before, and i understand the "difference" in paying someone to have sex with another person vs. paying them to have sex with you...HOWEVER, it seems that the person(s) being exploited (otherwise known as those the law is made to protect) are still being paid for sex...woo hoo for legalized prostitution
