How do YOU pronounce Billy Kane?

Yeah, well, nonwithstanding the original spelling and pronounciation, everyone knows who is Kane or Kaan no matter how you pronounce it so what's the point.

Anyways. I played through the first Fatal Fury last month, for the first time in like 15 years. Got to Billy Kane, and that absolute legend Michael Beard ~ the very same Michael Beard who may or may not know Mr. Tomiyama's Mercedes Benz S600 W140 V12 with 'NEOGEO1' written on the license plate ~ clearly, clearly pronounced Kane as Caan.

After this lifechanging revelation that I've been pronouncing Billy's name wrong all my life, you know what I did?

I continued to pronounce it as Cain. Clearly SNK was having a laugh, but nah dawg, not me. Kane as Cain for life, little homies.

So this thread isn't about how to pronounce his name, because the answer canonically is Caan. This thread is asking how you proceed to live your life knowing the truth and how YOU choose to pronounce his name.

The difference is that's them attempting to say "Last Resort." It's just Last Resort in a Japanese accent. But they're perfectly capable of pronouncing Caine if that's what their intent was.

I always figured it was a mispronunciation on Beard's part in the first game, like they wrote Kaan or Khan on the script sheet they gave him, and SNK just ran with it from there.
