This wasn't my idea, I found the info HERE. I don't know why I never thought of this. Everybody hates the GBA boxes right? Well DS cases are great AND they have a spot for GBA games. Here's some even better news. Nintendo sells the cases for $7 for 10! At the site I linked to, they have quite a few inserts made, but you can tell they are new at this. :tickled: They obviously don't have the experience we Neo fans do in building inserts. I plan on making some inserts for my games and I ordered 50 cases. If this is popular, I will add info and inserts on my site.

Looks pretty cool. Game Boy boxes are always hard to find because so many people just throw them away.

Yeah I was thinking about that and I asked Eddie if their were any cases for the GBA games. I wonder if the GBA manuals will fit in those cases?. :)

You forgot about me mentioning that to everyone, I'm hurt. :crying: Just kidding. :kekeke: :tickled: (Super Milk Chan always says just kidding) :kekeke:

I hate paper boxes. They get crushed and fall apart. This is a great solution for me and probably a lot of other people.

Here is a Super Dodge Ball Advance Insert I made. It looks a lot the the one on the snackbar site, but it is much cleaner. This is just a low-res thumbnail so don't try printing this one. I'll have the real files up soon.

very cool! ordering some cases now! Will probably lend a hand in the inserts as well. I think its best to retain the original box and adjust it for the new size, personally.

You should put the logo of the publisher on the bottom of the spine -- it looks a little empty, IMO.

(I was gonna say put a meg count box, but it'd be a little depressing after SSVS' 708 megs)

Yeah, I ordered 50. I can't believe how cheap they are! I tried to keep this one as exact as I could, but the only image I had of the spine was really shitty looking, so I rebuilt it. Here's a bit of trivia: the ball I used on the spine is from the NES Dodge Ball!

I thought about that. I just looked at the spines of the DS games I have, and they all seemed a bit more busy. There wasn't anything other than the title, but there were background images and colors. I might do that. The original spine is just as boring as mine though! I'm pretty sure I'll do something to spice it up though.

If you guys can wait a few days, I'll have all the templates and info uploaded. I am in the process or reworking all the Neo inserts so they fit the classic style/colors (I'm super anal). I have made 24 so far and I only have 6 left to do. Then all the inserts will match and use the same template. I want to get those done then just do a huge upload. I'll upload the GBA stuff at that time. It shouldn't take more than a week from now.

Great thread! Most of my GBA boxes have crushed corners and it's annoying getting the instruction manuals in and out of them. I wouldn't mind having shockboxes for games like the Castlevania trilogy, Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, Tactics Ogre Advance, Advance Wars 2, etc.

Right now I have all my GBA games in those cheap, plastic snap-lock cases.

I love this.

All except for the logos they made for the spine are cramped and look pretty bad.

Whatever.

request/suggestion...

can you try doing "Japanese" style inserts, based from the japanese boxes.. cuz some JP boxes look WAAAAYY better than US/EUR boxes (castlevania for example) ,, but oh, the JP boxes have a different/smaller size... hmmm...

I received an email from a guy asking about my site and where he might be able to get the files from (since all of my inserts are down on my site). He went on to suggest that site and perhaps sending them my inserts, etc.

I directed him to loopy and I guess this where all this came from.

I would be all over this if it weren't for the freaking roms.

Oh man that's right! This is such a great idea!

Here's an example of the JP box style (pulled from Shirt's selling thread)

ummm.. I can only do inserts for games I own unless someone wants to send me scans of boxes at 600 dpi (and that'll take forever)

Lol, I just don't see any point in this whatsoever. It's fair enough for MVS carts and maybe even AW carts, but GBA? Just keep the carts in a draw or something.

Why don’t you put you MVS games in a big plastic tub? Different strokes for different folks my friend.

As for the scans (something I think is a great idea, I ordered some cases this morning) I have the following boxes that I can scan:

-Super Mario Advance 1&2
-Golden Sun
-Zelda Link to the past
-Castlevania Circle of the Moon
-Castlevania Harmony of Dissonance
-Zelda The Minish Cap
-Final Fantasy Tactics Advance
-River City Ransom EX

All the boxes are is great shape. I don’t really have the skills to do an insert but I can provide some high quality scans if requested. I don’t know if these cases fit original GB games but I also have some boxes for Final Fantasy Adventure II&III and Dragon Warrior I&II.

You'd need a real big plastic tub.

I see where you're coming from, but.....I'll just bite my tongue incase I upset someone again.

Wow, looks fantastic. Shit, I think I just made a ton of work for myself! I'll have to get this stuff up on my site, pronto.

That site (snackbar) has like 800 scans at 300 dpi, that is what I used. You insert looks better though. I'm just saying... better 300 dpi, than nothing.
