They've updated it so much in the last five years that both sides of the park are equally enjoyable now. I kind of prefer the regular Studios to Islands of Adventure now honestly. Anyway,

Couple more years and you have to start parenting for realz.
Have fun in Universal Studios. I was there this year and had way more fun than anticipated. The Harry Potter stuff is packed so hit it early then forget it...if you are doing both parks.
