Help me out No picture on home cart

hi, I can't get my home system to display on my tv screen. I have an rf adapter and when I switch the system on all I get is snow with lines in the back of it. The system turns on, but I cant get any picture. I believe that everything is plugged in. I am not too technical about tv's so I have no idea what the problem is. Is it the system? Please help me out

Sounds silly, but have you tuned your TV? My AES wasn't set to channel 32 (standard over here).
