Limbo

Wow, what is this, Abe's Odyssey gone dark? Great game though, cool atmosphere and nice puzzles, I just fear that Limbo's replay value might not be that high after one or maybe two goes.

No, you're spot on. There really is no replay value unless you're going for a speed run or minimal death run (there's an achievement for the latter). Same goes for Braid. No real point in playing through either of them again any time soon. They're just great experiences that first time through for a mere $15.

Tak, some nice choices there! Can't believe I forgot to mention the xbla port of GUWANGE. Sure, old timers like us may have played this ad nauseum since its release; and it is MAMEable.

The 360 rev is worth a look IMHO for the AWSOME 360 mode. 360 mode is dual-stick controls, where the right stick controls the shikigami. All out score fest, and *much* easier to maintain game long chains.

GameRoom has some great stuff as well...

Cheers!

Though i might repeat myself and others have also mentioned these: get yourself a copy of Bayonetta and maybe Vanquish!
Both are outstanding action games and well worth the money. So do yourself a favor and take a closer look. :D

I've played the Bayonetta demo for a while when it came out, felt a bit like God of War meets DMC or something. Top graphics, intuitive controls, slightly repetitive. It's on my list but I will get me some more XBLA titles first, some of them are really a steal for what you get.

wataru330,

Guwange isn't my cup of tea to be honest, played it on and off years ago on emu, didn't click with me. It's more like a run 'n gun game than a shmup.

I'd recommend Vanquish if you can find it cheap. Also, please do not forget the upcoming Contra game: Hard Corp Uprising.
