Market - Kid Pandar ... although I'd hate for the fate of kitkit to potentially happen to a pal. However, considering how often he's active on the site, and how often he contributes to the the "what it's worth" and other threads I think he's a good option in addition to CD. I think most here have come to find that both dudes are extremely transparent, fair and pretty well liked by all sans a Yosh or a Yatvei type. Sorry for the nod, KP. I'll still fly out to NC next year unless this ends our bromance here. keke

James or RepX for Tech mod. As for market mod, I'd propose it being someone who doesn't run a side business on the internet. This will be smart just to avoid drama that will eventually come from that. I think you should do two mods for the market as 1 person is going to get overwhelmed. I recommend:

I've been working on some things away from the forum. I've been on walkabout for 2 months. I'm doing backend and admin stuff, not actively going to post much for another 7 days or so.

A good mod is dedicated to the forum....doesn't get overly wrapped up in bullshit drama....and is not biased toward a member(s).

True... but how many people does that leave? And do we really want morally good mods?

Being a moderator in a forum, especially one the size of this place and also the history will probably shorten your life span a year or two. I actually was a senior moderator at a big forum on a major website (until its ultimate demise) and it was a job and then some. While I wouldn't trade my experience from doing it, there were days I felt like banging my head against a wall and turning it into a bloody pulp. Whoever decides to take the job gets my thanks in advance and I'd also like to take this time to thank all the current moderators here for what I feel is a job well done. Keep up the good work

This is a great point. Market mod should be ombuds type without vested interest.

I think you do a great job when you're around.

The market mod is an important position, though. And, let's face it, VT is VERY busy IRL.

My choice would be either Shroom or, Broken. The only issue I have would be that both of them are really wrapped up in the drama (plus, slashchat). They both contribute and...it seems like Shroom reads EVERY thread.
