Thanks for the suggestions. I'm still a nub and haven't even played a single match with half the heroes. Mage was default and was, how should I say, nostalgic since I played a gnome mage to 50 in wow...10 years ago.

I just plagiarized a couple highly up voted decks and committed to learning how to pwn with them. I'm no artist here. But I must say, hearthstone is one of the coolest things ever to come from personal computing.

The best players do the exact same thing. Pros like Trump, Strifecro, Thijs, Firebat, etc, don't make their own decks. They just recognize what works in the current meta and play it really well, and grind like hell. They will put in more hours. And the result is that they get sponsorship and playing games becomes their full time job.

Man, Trump has been sucking lately. Firebat and Kripp are the ones to watch.

Kripparian is really good to watch. His arena 12-0 runs are worth the watch. He had a 12-0 shaman run with a really really mundane deck that I personally would have probably run 3-3 with. You can pick up a lot watching him. He has really (what should be) simple advice - he has good feel when to trade, when to not flood, and when to commit. I've picked up a few things from him. I check icy-veins once a week or so to see if Sottle is excited about any of his decks. They don't always crush, but they're almost always fun. If I can't build anything i'm happy with some nights, i'll see his newest deck and play around with it.

Haven't watched Amaz in a long time. Too much price is right reactions. I like watching the RNG gods put their cocks up reynad, though.

My current quest is "enter the arena" but I've played a couple matches and didn't get anything. Maybe I need 3 win or something? It doesn't say.

I think the game is broken this morning.

Ben Brode is too busy fellating little teenage pewdiepie-wannabes to ever fix the problems. Have you ever seen Ben Brode? He looks like he's be promoting subway sandwiches if he wasn't a game designer.

My pc is in the shop being fixed, so I have to rely on my tablet to play. Shit crashed no less than 4 times this morning.

Funny because my laptop is hdmi out only (busted screen), but my android hearthstone is pretty rock solid. Occasionally freezes on the fireworks of the win screen but that's once every 10 hours of play or less.

Playing around the first of the month is pretty great. A lot of really good opponents in the 20-18 field. I do want to climb out to 15 soon though.

It's not that great. Here's the rub - from rank 12 onward people are too serious. Decks you face are 40% dragon warrior.

In the 20 ranks you can really experiment and have fun. I guess that's the curse of having every card - not enjoying the restrictions of the meta.

I definitely understand. Having two viable decks after this most recent season has really shown me what rank 20 is all about.

I'm a grinder though. I played ever quest hardcore in high school so I definitely have the mind for the grind. I want to get to the upper echelons, just because they exist.

Upper echelons are soul killing.

It's like trying to get into the upper echelons of the Internet, and peering into tor and finding a lot of horrible shit, over and over.
